Co-produced by John Carter Cash and David Ferguson, the album features new musical arrangements with Marty Stuart, Dave Roe, Pete Abbott, and others, plus special guests Dan Auerbach and Vince Gill.

This is one of the best trailers for a new album I've ever seen. Gave me chills. This album is a must buy for me, I own quite a few Cash albums. His voice sounds especially haunting these days.

My uncle loved Johnny Cash and growing up, he would always listen to him whenever he got the chance and even during projects he would have his songs blasting. Now he that he is gone I always listen to his songs and now I can listen to these songs for him in his honor
"Ring Of Fire" was in constant rotation at our house in the'60s!
Unmistakable voice narrating ... modern day Country outlaw - Jamey Johnson. And like Johnny, he's battled many demons. Great music from both.

Since it was the 90s, it would’ve been cool to hear musicians come in to restore these tracks that were more closely related to his sound of the era (American recordings years). Instead, the new single sounds like something off of his Mercury days, which was Johnny at his most overproduced and corporate era (though no fault of his own, I blame the label/producers). I was hoping to see a more grungy, 90s take on this project.

What'd be extra cool to see would bring back the full 1993 experience with some limited edition cassettes of this album. Maybe even serial numbered inside on the foldout. But I doubt that could even happen. There's probably not a lot of pre-2000's unreleased stuff by artists still out there to have an albums worth, so chances to do this get fewer and fewer
Probably not that many cassette players out there anymore so few would purchase.
