    Just want to say "THANK YOU" for making this video. The video and information re spot on. Just finished my water pump swap on my 2018 TTRS and the process went just like your video! I even went and bought the $10 kit at Walmart. LOL Definitely straight forward and lots of steps, but not technically difficult. 10/10 and ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars! for your video of swapping water pump and nothing left out.

    With all of this work you might as well get upgraded mounts and a new dogbone. This is definitely a helpful and in depth video.

    • @Haydenschreiermk2
      @Haydenschreiermk2  11 месяцев назад +1

      Haha if I did the dogbone mount I’d have to loosen the subframe. From the videos I’ve seen upgraded mounts are a lot stiffer and you’ll feel the engine at idle and when driving. Lots of vibration

    • @davej.6290
      @davej.6290 11 месяцев назад

      Engine and gearbox mounts are not necessary unless they are worn. Dogbone mount is highly recommended, but no need to change the whole mount.
      You can get inserts which fit from top and bottom to fill the open spots in the oem mount. Therefor you don't need to drop the subframe.

    • @BENJAMIN_TTRS
      @BENJAMIN_TTRS 11 месяцев назад

      @@Haydenschreiermk2 I have the racingline doggone mount inserts installed on my MK3 TTRS. The increase in NVH is hardly noticeable. Only very slight increase in NVH and only noticeable if trying to look for it. I've also installed their propshaft bearing alignment kit as well.

    • @Haydenschreiermk2
      @Haydenschreiermk2  11 месяцев назад

      @@BENJAMIN_TTRS did you just replace the insert or did you remove the circular bushing in the subframe? Is their much difference just replacing the dogbone mount shaft?

    • @derekmartz4320
      @derekmartz4320 11 месяцев назад

      Unitronic or old ECE dog bone mounts are minimal NVH but definitely tighten things up when running a tuned car. Worth the cost, plus very minimal NVH. Also, 034 subframe sub frame collar mounts and rear sub frame mounts do stiffen car up some more without taking comfort from the car. They really help when cornering...just a bit tighter. A rear 034 sway bar helps with our cars understeer, but be careful to tight can make car oversteer a bit in some cases. I own a TTRS and those items definitely helped when running Stage 1+ e85 tune. Funny I watched video and below my water pump area it looks just like yours. Time to swap my water pump...nice video!! Keep going......

    Good job it seems you study everything before doing the job. That's smart. For your torx bit it exists every kind of length and size on 1/4 and 3/8 drive a good kit of those and a kit of triple square are needed on any job on VAG car !

    • @Haydenschreiermk2

      I try to, don’t wanna go into a project blind. I think I need to add a swivel/flex head 1/4 inch ratchet to the collection. Some how didn’t have to use a triple square for this project, although funny enough I bought a shallow head set just in case.

    Great video! Just ordered the water pump form your link. Does it include gasket with pump in box? Also, If I order all the bolts you have listed does it include every bolt the oem dogbone mount bolts long and short?

    • @Haydenschreiermk2
      @Haydenschreiermk2  11 месяцев назад

      The pump comes with the new gasket on it as well as the 3 screws that hold the water pump in. It’s brand new oem Audi. You can see in the video the new gasket/O-ring is on the pump. If you order the bolts off FCP euro, just click the link and order all the bolts separate. Yes they include the dog bone mount bolts, there are 3. Those will be new too. It comes with the extra bolt for the center bushing, you don’t need to order it as you don’t have to take the entire mount off. You only need to remove the two bolts that I had in my video not the third. Also make sure you have a 1/4 inch swivel/flex head ratchet. Probably easier than what I did in my video. Feel free to DM me on instagram and I’ll walk you through the process on what you need! My ig is in the description!

If only pump had gone out when i upgraded to 034 mounts a while back.. it probably would have saved me having to take them off twice lmao. thanks for the pump link also because everywhere i had looked they were between 700-800$ for a rs3 pump.

      You are very welcome! I couldn’t find a good video for the FL rs3 so I decided I’d make one. Yeah def would have saved a little time. Remember you need new hardware. The local Audi wanted $1200 for me, everywhere online is $700+ lol. This guy I met in a FB group has a link on eBay for the pump so it’s legit. He sells a ton on eBay and it’s a NEW superseded pump, like the “revised” pump. (New part number) which should mean Audi fixed the previous versions problem.
