The real truth is the Dictator Marcos was a plunderer and murderer. So many died fighting for freedom. When he became president, the Philippines was no. 2 in Asia behind Japan. Before stepping down, the Philippines became the SICK MAN OF ASIA ... KULELAT. He left behind a bankrupt economy and huge foreign debts that Filipino taxpayers have been paying and will still pay until 2025. The Marcoses enriched themselves at the expense of the Filipino people. This is not about hating the Marcoses. This is about real truth being told.

They have met and made connections with many of the most powerful and most influencial people all over the world, while also representing their country. Marcos Sr. represented the ideal qualities of a Filipino and of a good leader, while the first lady Imelda represented the beauty and culture of the Filipino people. We also experience poverty and hunger at that time, but not for long because we chose not to be poor forever. Nasa tao naman yan kasi hindi sa gobyerno. And may I know where your grandfather is from? The difference only was I think, we were following the law and not disrupting the peace and stability of our country, and maybe your grandparents were. I guess you need to dig a little further to know what went wrong aside from fighting for the human rights. Didn't you know communism was aggresive that time. I have watched one documentary that was portrayed Marcos exile. The docu made the Marcoses the Villains but while watching it, i was in down on my tears! Marcos Sr. he died in the late 1980s and they lefties did not want to ever bury him in the Philippine soil? How cruel that was? He was just buried recently when Duterte was President. The lefties even saying that when they take back power again in Presidency, they will dig it out his remains! So inconceivable. Philippines would be the most beautiful country ever when only the people unite as one!

In his time the Country was called (Pearl of the Orient Seas) because it was one of the leading countries in Asia.I was born 1954. Thank you.

Toni asking about his childhood and remarkable experiences growing up as the son of the president. More about personalities.

from what i have heard from all the elders around me who was also living already during the marcos time, including my parents.. 97-99% of them like the marcoses... Martial law was actually a success for fending off communism in the philippines... if not the philipines today is a communist country... to be clear the communism in the philippines that time was not a 100% same as communism like the other countries... the communism in the philippines is like in the favor of the oligarchs... most of the usefull facilities infrastructure in the philippines was the late president marcos projects and visions... it was nice of toni to interview BBM...

The real truth is the Dictator Marcos was a plunderer and murderer. When he became president, the Philippines was no. 2 in Asia behind Japan. Before stepping down, the Philippines became the sick man of Asia ... KULELAT. He left behind a bankrupt economy and huge foreign debts that Filipino taxpayers have been paying and will still pay until 2025.

Patawa ung Crisanto, kinocommentan lahat ng mga pro Marcos dito. 😂 Apart from history books that painted the same narrative from my childhood to adulthood, personal testimonies and experiences of my family and friends and relatives who experienced the martial law years say otherwise. They were doing fine despite the narrative these so called “victims” try to shove down our throats. While I can’t deny that there were atrocities committed, We can’t say for a fact that the atrocities are state-sponsored. Most of these “victims” are actually insurgents that threaten and want to control the country and don’t have any ulterior motive rather than to paint the late FEM and his family in a bad light and to this day, these people controlled the narrative, silencing and muffling voices that are opposed to their version of history. As the dust settles after 3 decades, the history that has been mostly Aquino and reds controlled is slowly losing traction and people are more discerning now of the “facts” these anti-Marcoses spew for more than 30 years.
