They have done it before, on the TTD channels you can find at least 2 videos with Adam and Dan. One was a full competitive match and the other was testing colour rubbers (which still included competitive Dan vs Adam match). They've also referenced him a few times in other videos and reviews (like when a snake shot is performed) and Adam has commented on some of their videos. I think you should check the videos out and it'd be fun to see more of it for sure

The difference to a regular bat is minuscule compared to the other atrocities XD it's like entering a guitar contest with a ukulele while the others have to play on laced shoes or a clothes drier.
Injust got a mini bat today. They’re actually not that hard to play if you are a decent player and definitely was the closest thing to an actual paddle from these options

You should play best of 3 and switch bats after each game.
