Yes,during monsoon, waterfall become ferocious. Now it will be only the tail water of peringalkuth hyro electric power station. When raining added water from forest create abundant water. In hot times,, lying in the safe water places for hours will be an experience. Quality of water is good.

Mumbai and especially Delhi are shitholes (sometimes literally) compared to Kerala. Kerala has much higher civic and environmental standards than the rest of India. The culture of Malabar Coast is in general much more cosmopolitan than the rest of the country due to its extensive and lucrative maritime trade history with the West (as you may have noticed in Kochi). Malabar has always been the most accessible Indian place for foreigners. Malabar has always been insulated from the rest of India by the Western Ghats mountains (that you see in this video) and as a result it has never been conquered or colonized by outsiders ever in its 3000 year history. Malabar Coast instead has always looked outwards through trade. Almost every foreigner from Ming Dynasty Naval admiral Zheng He to Marco Polo to Vasco Da Gama to Dutch East India Company & British East India all came to Malabar/Kerala first. Before that you have Romans, Phoenicians, Sumerians and especially Jews coming to Malabar for trade. This place used to be sort of a Venice of the East in the ancient world (both in terms of trade and being surrounded by water). In many ways Malabar Coast was India's gateway and its perceived identity to the West for centuries. Columbus discovered America by accident when he was seeking out a trade route to the spices of Kerala/Malabar. It's hypothesized that some of Hellenistic and Stoic philosophy has its origins in Kerala since Rome and Greece had extensive cultural sharing with Kerala (Muziris port). All three major Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) came to South Asia first in Kochi (Muziris). The Christian community in Kerala was founded by Jesus' apostle St Thomas himself and hence Syrian Christians of Kerala are the oldest Christian community in the world currently. The same goes for Islam which was founded here during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. Such ancient religious variety is the reason why Kerala was originally called "God's Own Country".
That's how historically significant this place is.
Malabar is socially, culturally and even economically ahead of rest of India.

Hey, if you're hanging out in India, you absolutely can't miss checking out Meghalaya. It's like a hidden gem for mind-blowing waterfalls and unreal natural beauty in the country. Seriously, you gotta see these waterfalls:
Nohkalikai Falls: This one's massive and seriously breathtaking. Water plunges down from crazy heights surrounded by lush greenery.
Krang Suri Falls: Imagine crystal-clear water tumbling over cool rocks, creating a chill spot that's just too pretty.
Seven Sisters Waterfalls: It's like nature showing off - seven waterfalls flowing side by side, making you wonder if this place is even real.
Sweet Falls: This one's all about tranquility. Water cascades down peacefully, giving you a break from all the city noise.
Phe Phe Falls: Let the sound of these falls chill you out. It's like a natural soundtrack for relaxation.
Elephant Falls: Named after a rock that looks like an elephant, this waterfall is graceful and surrounded by lush greenery.
Wei Sawdong Falls: Get ready for a multi-tiered stunner. Each level of these falls adds to the beauty of the whole scene.
