    You need to add 2 stitches from your pattern, one for right edge, one for left edge.
    Prep. row: slip purlwise with yarn in front, yo, your pattern, k1.
    THE ROW: slip purlwise with yarn in front, yo, your pattern, k2tog the yo & slip stitches. Repeat this row. It is very simple yet perfect & neat!

    I've been knitting since I was two or three years old. I don't remember learning. I have always knitted with the yarn in my left hand. I don't know why, neither my mum not my dad knew why. I was invariably in trouble at school for knitting left handed and everybody always comments on kt. Such a joy to see you knitting left handed, exhibiting the speed on a garter stitch which is the blessing of left handed knitting. Like the tip for edges too. I'm 69 now, and I think I've settled into knitting the way I do! I'm right handed for writing too.

    Doesnt it decrease when you knit two together at end of row. Confused

    • @josezuniga3747

    • @hawaiirastalady
      @hawaiirastalady Год назад +3

      @@sfcucci You are probably missing the YarnOver. First row: Slip the first stitch purlwise with the yarn in front. Then do a YarnOver. Then knit your pattern to the end. Second Row: Slip the first stitch purlwise w/YIF. Then YO. Then knit til there's only two stitches on your left needle -- the YO and the slipped stitch from the beginning of the first row. Knit the YO & the slipped stitch TOGETHER (k2tog). That's it!! Then just keep repeating the instructions for the second row (Slip 1 w/YIF, YO, K til 2 sts left, K2TOG).
