Otherwise known as Priscilla. Very beautiful song...
But because this is Witcher 3, and things tend to turn to shit, this beautiful moment will be ruined shortly afterwords.
The song is actually about one of Geralt's loves, met early in the game, known as Yennefer. A woman who smelt of lilac and gooseberries. Dandelion, a mutual acquaintance, had blabbed the story to Priscilla. The song's subject is why the normally emotionless Geralt manages to be somewhat moved.

Gotta say this is my favorite cut scene in the game so far. The crowd was awesome, the woman on the shoulders of the guy. The 2 strangers who hook up, the king of beggars watching. I love all the details, the dudes crying at the end lol. Awesome cut scene until that lady got up and started yacking about stuff that happened 30 hours ago!
I can't remember why she is calling Geralt a murderer! I know I have seen her before but apparently, she thinks I am a murderer. Anybody know why?

@@Nate-cm9jp I know I'm more than a year late, but that woman (Elsa) was the innkeeper in White Orchard. At the end of the prologue, Geralt and Vesemir were attacked in the inn by Temerian men and they were forced to kill them. Hence why Elsa called Geralt a murderer after Priscilla's song
@@Nate-cm9jp u probably killed the dudes in her tavern early in the game, (when u were first introduced to gwent) . Theres an option where you just walk away from the fight with the bandits. But aint nobody walking away from no fight 😂😂
for me this was the moment the witcher transcended being a video game into something else entirely. i just cant imagine any other video game doing anything like it. the standing ovation from geralt in the end was a beautiful story telling touch.
i want more stuff like this so people can see video games as art
Saints row 4 gat of hell, the dlc did something like it the main character and 2 other important characters all did a song and dance

One of my favourite moments in the game, honestly. Took me completely unaware. Was hammered first time playing through this part of the game. Beautiful

Witchers definitely feel emotions, Geralt more so than others, I believe the idea that they are emotionless killers is anti-witcher propaganda. if you read the books he frequently describes his feelings towards Yennefer, he really is a sappy romantic at heart. Witchers learn to suppress their emotions to avoid conflict and focus on the job at hand

I actually hadn't read the books that when I started the game and eventually got into it... regardless, it never felt quite right choosing triss over jennefer. Can't recall quite why back then, but there where hints all over the kind of relationship they appeared to have as opposed to Triss.

You know, the initial scene between him and Yennifer in his dream, the musical score sounds a little like this in the beginning.
this is one of the best games I have ever played right up there with skyrim.

At first i was like "oh god not another annoying cut-scene" but then i was mesmerized.
Buying this game as my first PS4 game is a huge mistake
my expectation towards a game became too high, while It's hard to find other game as etertaining as this

I've just started a new playthrough. Blood & Wine and Hearts of Stone too. Still excited about this game after all this time.

@@HeraclesPorsche I've never read the books or played any games previous to Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt, but I've fallen in love too. At first I was curious about the previous games because of dialogue in the game that referenced back to characters I had no knowledge of. Letho being one of them. On my 1st playthrough I got to meet Letho and disarm all his traps. Only because I chose the right dialogue to align me with that path.

Besides FF VII, this is the only cut scene that got me in the feels.
And now I'm dealing with a bug where items other characters give me don't end up in my inventory.
+Heracles Porsche I wished that happened to me, I fazed through the floor during the first griffon fight so I had to reload. I thought that would fix the issue but nope. When I reloaded Geralt decided that legs were for pussies and decided that walking with your face was the future. This would have been comical if I could have interact thing or attack enemies while in this state, but sadly I couldn't. Long story short I had to restart the entire game.
lesson learned dont buy good games on its re lease

I forgot why the higher vampire attacked her... She never hurt a single soul...
I mean...she wrote a song entirely about the *deeply* personal details of the love life of a living person she'd never met, in which she intimates that their decades-spanning romance complete with raising a child might have been something that never should have existed, brought into this world by a selfish wish. And given no one in the series had ever indicated they'd had that thought before, it kinda seems like Yen heard it and it got her thinking. I'd call that pretty hurtful, tbh. Geralt's a much more forgiving man than most of us would be.
