If the angle at the elbow is 90 degrees, then the angle between the forearm and bicep tendon cannot also be 90 degrees. It just takes a little trigonometry to find the angle so that this is a bit more accurate.
So... for me (6'5") to lift a 40lb weight in my palm, with an arm length of 38cm (elbow to metacarpophalangeal joints), there's a minimum 335lbs pushing upwards on my humerus. I knew muscles needed to be stronger on taller people to do the same task. So why aren't the midgets going for the strongest people records and titles?
This is one of the greatest videos on all of RUclips. I love you
You touched on so many key points and explained it so well, thank you so much!!
In this case is really interesting to notice that the weight is multiplied by a factor of 8.75, then plus the weight of the arm.
thanks for taking the time to make this.
No problem!
Very interesting but so daunting.
Great video!! Thank you!!

It can. It varies based on bicep size.
The muscular force is not only in x direction but also in y direction as it's second component
It is very helpful sir......can u please share more videos of solving biomechanics problems
Hi Sir,
I want to calculate the horizontal push and pull force of the hand
Can you suggest any journal article or books
goooooooood. we want for all joints please
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
thanks a lot ❤
Very nice 😊
Extremely well presented, thank you. I use this vide0 in my introductory kinesiology class.
AWESOME! Thanks.
10/10 😌😌
Hope fully I can go to uni, my last year in college studying sport and exercise science currently
But this is hurting my brain lol
What increase in force is demanded as the weight ball is extended further out from the hand?

Nearly impossible if there is no hidden power somewhere?
The arm length is short compare to real life. Am I wrong?
That's my arm length from the elbow to the Center of Mass of the weight
ما فهمت شي 😭 و اليوم امتحاني
نجحت ولا لا؟
