@@luxghI won a 4v5 after our Hog left for some reason, this was pre-Hog buffs on Lijiang and I had to “tank” as Sym by holding the points. It was weird, the other team clearly didn’t stop trying but it was as if they tilted themselves into staggering.
I remember my tank threw after first fight because me an the ana got flanked and busy fighting dps so couldn’t heal (tank was on bot not in any fight. So i had to take the role of tank. Almost pushed up to it but of course they counter picked since no tank. But i did get an nano and it was practically me and ana for my whole rally (i was brig). It really shows if a support is better about being a tank than you and still high heals only healing 3 others (because he was like 70 meters away) we couldve won if he helped easily but like he threw it after the first fight (that we won and pushed almost to 2nd point) just because he couldnt be healed immediately

I swear. Like I'm not an amazing player by any means, but in just 1 season I improved from bronze 5 across the board to gold 2 dps and tank, and a silver 2 support

Whether if he made any valid points, whether he hit a breaking point, it's so trash to throw a game. There have been MANY times I've wanted to just give up or leave a game cause my head just wasn't in it. But I don't because I won't ruin it for others, and what I also don't do is go on mic and be a total jerk to the rest of my team. Play your best, even if your team isn't working with you, and move on to the next game. Sorry for the baby rant but that streamer was hurting my brain lol great vid Ari! 10/10 would watch again (which I probably will)

Well, the Hog did have a point when it comes to people becoming toxic over nothing in this game. In Dorado you guys won and the guy was mad becuz he didn't play Genji. In the last moments of the game, no one was playing him and the guy held that thought just to complain later 😶
He might have had a point but he says they dont matter cause they are gold which with the way the matchmaking works in overwatch now is irrelevant now so he was being just as toxic as his team

Yeah, people not joining voice is annoying but it's very common for no one to be in voice, even in comp, so they could've just assumed no one was in there, don't have auto-join on and forgot, or don't have a mic/arent comfortable talking because the ways I've seen people get flamed for just their voice alone in this game is crazy-

I find it pretty hard to even use VC in this game due to the overall community. In my 200 hours I have found 1, literally 1, positive dude using VC during my play time and that was in a casual open queue who was just "like damn we tried guys, it was fun playing with all of you." And that was just earlier today.
My only attempts at ranked stopped 4 games before placement, because I just can't handle the Mega Chads who will lose their minds over the dumbest of shit. Had one dude just flame the ever living shit out of me for picking Torb in one of those games, for the entire round. Dude didn't do a single thing to help the team win and when I held down the payload and locked it down to secure our victory, he claimed to of carried us. Only when I came over VC to tell him my stupid pick was the reason we won and the other teammates agreed, did the dude shut the fuck up.
I don't know what it is about this game that brings in the most egotistical twats, but all I want to do is chill every now and then after work. I'm not trying to compete as if my life depended on it in a video game that 99% of us will never make a legitimate career out of.

Yeah sounds familiar. I had a zen game where my orb was allowing for a slight tank diff and our tank let everyone know he thought he’s Jesus Christ himself. He ended up dying last fight we won 4v5.

I had a throwing ball last week tbh. He got in voice chat, and asked a specific player on our team if they supported the LGBT, and then proceeded to throw the match when my teammate replied yeah. When we realized, I jokingly typed in chat that "if I said I was homophobic, you they play the game." But at that point we knew we were gonna lose. Hate that shit tho.

the sad thing is, i went to that hog's stream and was scrolling through his vods. it's NOT the first time he throws a game just because he thinks his teammates are lower than him. :/ (even when he's playing on lower smurf accounts??)
i just watched another of his pushmap games, they were basically tied, their stats (not that stats mean everything) were basically the same, and he afked and went through his teammate's profiles (didn't check the enemy's tho, despite it usually matching mmr per role) and afked until he was kicked. this is a pattern and his personality.
i watched another game where he's talking to this nice girl sojourn and being like "when i'm on my gm account i get plat players, so i'm playing on this smurf to see if i get better/gm players lol" and she says something like "i'm plat/ i don't know any gm players and don't know where you can find them haha" and he's like "well, you know one now!" as if it's her honor to know him... but she was too cool and focused on praising/encouraging her mercy and had actual social skills. love ppl like her.
i was regretting saying he has a horrible personality, a dumb ego, and that i feel sorry for ppl who interact with him irl because maybe he was having a bad day.... but after watching his vods, i think that it's fair enough to say it. he should just play qp games if he's gonna go on smurfs, throw, and ruin other people's games just because he thinks he's better than them and is entitled to something else.

Well that's generally how most people are in male dominated spaces especially comp games, a single report or mute on somebody wouldn't fix the issue. Of course you'd run into these people every now and then. If you can't take the heat then just avoid the game completely it'll just ruin your mentality in the long run

Honestly my experience as a healer and DPS (Gold) is that almost always there's a toxic tank, could be in your team or on the opposite team, and they throw before even having half of a game or they complain about healing but they over extend a lot and get in tight situations

The ball hog player reminds me of an ex-teammate that I had for scrims, and to be honest they way he talked, even through the filter… it kinda sounded like him if he ever broke. Man had no empathy, and it doesn’t help that he’s an ex-main tank to my knowledge. He is that high on tank last I checked but he plays more support now to INTENTIONALLY Smurf, and I’m kinda like worried that that’s who that was. If it was, I feel bad that he’s been seen at this point, cause he’s a very smart player, but his lack of empathy can REALLY be an issue when playing with him, in comp or even on a team.
