As a brand new Warcry player, your battle reports might be the most helpful videos I've come across for learning the game quickly thanks to solid video editing and execution. Brilliant stuff.
COMMENTS FOR THE COMMENT GOD!!! Hey, your Frostgrave vids are great and so are your Warcry battle reports. Your style and the way you show the games should be THE standard on YT. Unfortunately... it is absolutely rare. And we really have been searching for a while. Keep on doing this! You made some guys thousands of miles away returning back to the Warcray table. SAGA next! *runs away*
The Kharadron Overlords really showed off how important mobility is in Warcry. The two with the backpack dirigibles just said "peace out" and moseyed off the board without a care, but their foot-based compatriots were hamstrung by their 3" movement rate.
5 Rounds with 6" movement each (move move) wasn't enough to actually escape (for the shield group), unless the dwarves could go in a straight line across the 30" battlemap.
Well, over the course of 3 days I've binged all of these. Hope to see more soon, nobody else is doing nice, dubbed over commentary Warcry battle reports like this. I'm sure it's a lot harder to edit than the more standard style like MiniWarGaming, but the result is super worth it. I'd love to see a large monster enter the fray on one of these warbands using the new-ish monster rules. Maybe the Bonesplitterz can meet an Aleguzzler Gargant? Lots of cool possibilities.
Well I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. And yes they take a minute to produce. For every minute you watch it is roughly 1-2 hours of work! And I'll see what I can do about adding some fun stuff into the fray.
Always enoying ur Content, especially your battlereports. You have a good format, making those battlereports short and fun to watch. Keep up that good work!
Beautiful battle report as always! I personally think moving off the board with the flyers was a big mistake early, as they could just as easily leave on the last round.
Thanks Moopies! I have the box set, but unfortunately I have little time to paint everything, learn the rules, and film the games. Maybe down the line, but I cannot guarantee anything at the moment.
You could create a whole story with this battle *spoilers* the sky dwarves just fly away to the ship before it leaves and the leader and rifleman have to go down the stairs deeper into the catacombs to escape. They might even have to remove their hearvier equipment and armor to get out of there quickly or something like that. So the iron golems would feel vindicated by that lol.
@@DiceChatter I would love that Dice!! I'll do it for free and everything! I love coming up with warhammer stories, I could probably write a little short story for each of your battle reports when they come out
Question: couldn’t the Arkanaut company have just disengaged and moved off the board? Or did you want them to stay and fight just so it was a longer video ;)
Admittedly, analysis is something we have infinite time for here in the comments. I think KO’s strongest play would have been spending both wild dice turn 3 to attempt to steal the initiative. It’d be down to a roll-off. But it might have let them reinforce from that empty edge at the bottom for a cleaner chance at the win. At least, depending on the rules of the victory condition. I’m not sure if the victory condition stops you from leaving if you’re engaged. With that option off the table, the play might have been to double move the skyhook naut who was in range of the drill master instead of taking the gunbutt with the one that was getting wrecked. But yeah. Tough match for the KO. A valiant showing by all!
The more and more I play the catacombs board, I am not a fan of the very similar setup. I like variety in my games and unfortunately that board does not provide enough.
Funny you mention that, maybe sometime in the future I'll make a video about making your own bat reps. And depending on the game, you gotta paint a lot of little plastic doods.
Quickly after your intro: Of COURSE you have to show your muscles. "Baby oil! Your muscles look better with baby oil..." At least this is what A. Schwarzenegger told us... in the 70ies. In a trash movie...

Glad my videos helped you out! Always nice to hear.
Look at the muscularity!
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the Frostgrave batreps. But it's always good to have more Warcry.

Hahaha always appreciate your comments Wolfgang!
best intro yet.
Bahh, you liar!
@@DiceChatter I would never!

Agreed. I was debating about rerolling the battle plan for this one, but thought this would show some strengths and weaknesses of the fighters.
5 Rounds with 6" movement each (move move) wasn't enough to actually escape (for the shield group), unless the dwarves could go in a straight line across the 30" battlemap.
That was a dirty battle, really shows how important movement is.
Agreed! Don’t overlook movement.
Nice battle report. Love your Warcry Battle Reports. I have to play 99% of my games as a single player. Nice to see someone else doing the same.
We need more friends it seems... or maybe just me!
@@DiceChatter The pandemic doesn't help.
You keep playing and we'll keep watching. Good stuff and well done.
Glad to have all y’all on board!
Love the batreps! Subscribed. And yeah, great to see solo-play batreps working out so well. Thanks, and keep it up!

Thanks a ton! Glad you like the vids!
Sometimes the mission rules and deployment can leave a warband in serious trouble. The KO's fought and... failed. Fun to watch though. 😊

Endrinriggers: "Hell naw, we're out"
Haha I don’t blame them!
@@DiceChatter But do their Comrades blame them, or doe they blame you?? xP
@@Sallafar ehhh, let’s put it on their comrades. I couldn’t handle the responsibility!
Good Batrep. Love to see the dwarves getting some games in. ❤️
Love seeing KO in warcry! Iron golems do really well in catacombs especially as defenders.
Loving your videos. Do you plan on playing some Cursed City for us? :)

@@DiceChatter Thanks for answering, keep playing and we’re keep watching. :)
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MORE WARCRY!
Any chance for some Daemons of Tzeentch action? I've been interested in building a warband for them as my first Warcry army
If I manage to snag up some of the models, I don't see why I couldn't make that happen!
Love the intro

@12:26 I'm confused - is it a dam, or a bridge??
;-)
Keep up the good work :)
Great battle report, they are great for new players to the game
Question: couldn’t the Arkanaut company have just disengaged and moved off the board? Or did you want them to stay and fight just so it was a longer video ;)
According to the rules they were unable to disengage. Otherwise this video would had been a lot shorter!

How do you like the "Catacombs" side of the board? Does it give the game a different feel? I've only used the open field so far.
The more and more I play the catacombs board, I am not a fan of the very similar setup. I like variety in my games and unfortunately that board does not provide enough.
@@DiceChatter Ah... I was worried about that. Thanks for the heads up! I was really hoping for some more unique gameplay from it.
Haha! Muscularityyy! 🤣
Thought you’d enjoy that one Leif.
thought about making my own batreps but theres no way i could bring myself to paint as many minis as you do
