I'm no roofer but that looks pretty insane. Why don't you make a few more holes in your roof. I guess this is why this technique is no longer used. Regardless, thanks for the effort in making the video at the time.
Slick install...what's the name of the flat bar you used. I know pry bars like the second one you used will work fine just never seen one like the first bar you inserted
