Yea seems to work. Maybe LSV didn't see he had enough mana? I mean he did count aloud that he has 6 mana, maybe he didnt notice he'd get an extra from playing key. That happened to the commentators in VSL recently i remember. Given vault/key is simple Given a piece and recoup you can recoup the other piece (EDIT: WRONG) given will and a piece is as above, but even easier to get the extra mana out of academy EDIT: given vault and recoup is tough; you have to coup for will (coup only targets sorc/instants), will for key and pass. You still win the turn after though. Using the play an artefact to gain a mana doesnt help either
When searching with the gifts in the first game, why didn't he just get yawgmoth ' will, recoup, time vault, vault key- then he could untap and win? Am I missing something?
Serious question. How come no one has any copies of echoing truth or echoing decay to deal with the abundance of token makers in vintage? I would think it would be great.
Truth is not as popular anymore but it has been used as a way to bounce pesky cards out of certain lists, such as it being a way to kill Dredge Zobmies while still being good against Null Rod, Blightsteel, Batterskull, etc. Decay is just bad compared to a lot of stuff, such as Truth lol
+Wolfgang Baumgartner Ugin is insane, Nicola Bolas is nuts, Karn is sweet, Jace is just goodly, pretty easy to lightning bolt it or man land it to death.
