I like what you did with the crown stop, no more bending down to look under the stop to check angles, ill have to make one like that. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video! Getting ready to make some new wings for myself here shortly. Full wings are so much better than rollers. The 60 degree angle is for stairwork. It's not uncommon to be able to make 52/53 degree angles. My DeWalt 780 has the same compacity as yours. Unfortunately you can't only go past 47 degrees on the left. My old Makita saw swung 55 to the left and 60 to the right. That was a great saw for stairs but had a very short fence making crown and baseboard upright difficult.

Ah. I wondered about the 60 degree angle. Thanks for the comments. I have another video on the details. Look up homecraft solutions to find it.

Thanks Pal... I like your simple design and right now HF has the stands for 11.99 so I will copy what you did with the 1x3 oak & 3/4 birch ply.. one more question.. Did you build in stops for the support legs?? or do they hang there vertical and the weight of the table keeps them from moving.. I'm sure that would be fine.. Thanks again

The legs just swing without locks. the weight of the table and lockiing in the slide in part or the DWX stand keeps it from moving. Spencer with Inside Carpentry made similar ones for the other Dewalt stand but he made his too heavy in my opinion, with other hardware. His is great and probably what he needed. Mine is simple and still very manageable. Thanks for the questions.

I believe I used a half sheet because the plywood part is 72 x 12. Then I used 1x3 for the outside borders.

Great Video - how did you get the wings level with the wings?

Part of the original stand has a vertical height adjustment of that bar. It also has a horizontal adjustment with a square sleeve. Slides in and out. But up-and-down adjustment can be made and there’s just a set. Screw with a knob that loosens and tightens on the shaft of that, so you can slide it up and down and get the Inside end of your board even with the table.
