@ericjohnson1490 appreciate it man! I'm a huge lover of turn based games since I got into Fire Emblem as a kid, which is why I tried Pathfinder. I love every Owlcat Game I've played so far. Kingmaker & Rogue Trader are great as well if you haven't played them!
glad that it's working for ya! yeah I was very impressed with Wenduag. I usually took Lann most of my runs until recently & now it's a hard choice between the two every time.
Nice build, will be trying this out. I like that you've given alternatives for gear slots, too many guides assume that you'll want to put the best unique items on every single character! Good luck with the channel, hope to see more in the future.
@tipsybowman appreciate it! yeah even I was a bit guilty of that my first few videos. I thought about it though & I'll definitely be putting some more unique gear in future builds!
@SSangsen that last fight can be quite troublesome for a lot of builds. dual wielding may be a bit better against bosses but I've seen a lot of dual wield builds.
@thenephz6781 appreciate it man! Spawn Slayer is a great option. the only reason I didn't go it is because I believe there's already a couple build videos for Wendaug with that archetype out there. thanks for watching!
Looking forward for the next builds chief! Not a request but I've noticed there isn't really any build guidance for the companions from the Through the Ashes / Lord of Nothing DLCs, so it'd be very interesting to see some builds for them if you ever play through those DLCs.
appreciate it! that's a very good idea, I didn't even think about that. I can definitely work on some, it would give me an excuse to play the DLC's to, as it's been awhile.
no problem! my recent Camellia build was a very viable main tank, but if you don't like using her I can definitely work on something. thanks for watching!
@SpookyGman I can definitely start working on that! in my video before this I was a Hag-Riven that had Gyronna as the Deity but haven't tried Hag of Gyronna yet. thanks for watching!
btw in my last playthrough I realize that Wendu is the best tank in your party. Her stats are just perfect for that. Just forgo the 1lvl bow traits and keep giving her tank abilities. I took 1 lvl of witch - for frozen skin and +2 def from familiar, and just full warrior next then.
I have known that outflank worked with ranged weapons for a long time - always tried to point that out in videos in other channels. But there is a caveat to that: without snap shot you do not threat enemies so do not count for flanking - you need to have other 2 meelees in range for it to work.
this is great information for people, luckily for my playstyle I usually always have 2-3 melee & they always have Outflank. if someone was trying to run only 1 melee or a full ranged squad, they'd definitely need to change up some feats though. thanks for watching!
And if I would any suggestion on your build would be to drop any feat after lvl 13 to sneak in combate reflexes and pick ever ready at ML 3 or 5. It does work with ranged AoO and it is more or less the level you will be picking greater snap shot.
@@joaocarvalhos yeah that would definitely be better, would just have to rearrange which feats/mythics we take at certain levels & I would drop Improved Precise Shot or Clustered shots for Combat Reflexes. for Mythics Expose Vulnerability is an easy drop for Every Ready.
@actuallyviz Hey great video man. i m doing a new playthrough on hard and following your companion build guides. I have quick question on outflank. Why is it not showing on calc table for me? My Wenduag has outflank, my Camellia has outflank and Woljig has outflank, the latter two are melee. I can see it on calc table on my melee character but not on wenduag. My wenduag tried even standing right next to the monster to see if that makes a difference.
If you have Shifter, the child of the manticore doesn't require any weapon, and her spikes can get significantly powerful. I'm not opposed to a good melee build though.
That looks like a pretty good approach for Wenduag. Given you often want her to move closer so she can make use of the Greater Snap Shot, how well would she benefit from the improved/greater Vital Strike feats (and Mythic Vital Strike to multiply bonuses), letting you move and attack (not getting full Haste + Rapid Shot damage, but getting full "normal full attack" damage)?
@MGPW I would think if you went that route you should stick to Rowdy Rogue the whole time, as I believe it gives bonuses to your Vital Strike feats even later on. I could see it being quite powerful, if you end up trying it let me know. thanks for watching!
Hi there, Nice build, I like how you are giving options, like go fighter here if you want that. Wenduag all the way, really could not stand Lanns character 😅 You worked on your presentation, talking slower but still keeping a video under 15 minutes. Well done. Wondering who is next ? Hopefully, not Seelah, find her very annoying personally. Planing evil Demon Mad Dog run, and using both your Cam and Wendu builds. Keep em coming. All the best in your work 😊
@nenadpavlovic8405 thank you! I've been trying to listen to all the great feedback you & others have given me. I already have some video footage for Woljif, Daeran, Greybor, Regill & Seelah but not sure what I should start with. do you have any suggestions? I've had some people ask for Woljif & Sosiel, ideally eventually I want to have at least 1 build for each companion.
Hi there! I liked this build too! And i must compliment you friend. You asap took my critique to heart and rly spoke slower here, so i had not much problems to understand you at all x) Big thanks for that!
@dmsephiroth thanks so much for all the feedback you've given me, I think I can still do better talking slowly with more practice. I'll admit I haven't tried Kinetic Sharpshooter but it looks like it could be quite powerful. I can definitely work on the builds you've mentioned, I really enjoy getting cool build requests!
This will go hand to hand with my Mad Dog soon to be Demon as my romance partner 😂. We will see the world burn 🔥. I know you have much on your plate already, but it would be interesting to see your companions ranking mechanics wise and story wise 😊
@actuallyviz yeah, like a tier list, but from different perspectives, like how interesting their story is and how useful their default builds are at level you get them are. I heard the Lann is overall batter then Wendu mechanicaly, but I will probably never use him, since he is a drag 😀 It will be a lot of work to do it for all archetypes, but maybe a tier list within a class ? Just brainstorming here 😆
@@nenadpavlovic8405 yeah that's what I was thinking as well, break down the archetypes into different categories and make multiple videos so it's not super long.
definitely! you get them both at the same level so it should be about the same strength. I will be coming out with a Lann build in the near future that is very unique as well. thanks for watching!
I can't get over how useful pet companions are, unfortunately it seems NOBODY really likes them or shows good builds (multi) with them. I've slowly turned everyone into a pet companion build, not easy. It is limiting but being able to run over the entire map to then be in range for FULL attack even IF archer is POWERFUL imo. The second you move a archer, you loose your attacks in the first turn. Plus, gotta go fast, I find gameplay painful when I gotta move slow characters into position for their full strike over 2 turns. Still not sure how to buff attack on companions past 48 attack roll.
@gerarderloper I'll definitely have some pet builds in the near future, one being a Seelah build & the other a Lann build. the reason I haven't so far, is because in many of my first playthroughs I used a lot of pet builds mostly from crpg bro and they made the game very easy for me. so before I started making pet builds, I wanted to make sure I could make viable builds that could pull their own weight. if you end up sticking around, I promise I'll get some pet builds uploaded! thanks for watching
I like that you give not every character the slaughter bracers, since you have only one, so giving it every companion makes no sense at all. I feel like 99/100 builds for the main character are not full support, meaning the main likes to wear these 😅
@xShail appreciate it! I'm going to try to have more unique gear in my builds. I was worried that people would complain saying I'm not using the best min-max gear every build, but that hasn't been the case. thanks for watching!
@@actuallyviz as a compromise you can show best in slot and maybe 1-2 alternatives(considering the usefulness for all companions) , makes no sense to show 5 shield alternatives with only seelah using shields, but gloves is needed by everyone - that said, archery is only needed by a selected few... Aru, lann and wendu I believe. Great work
