Literally thought the same thing. Like this is a beautiful bike. And watching how the 400 class has developed over the years. Now these bikes come with more tech than their 600 counter parts. Traction control, rider modes, abs, tft display, ride by wire, insane brakes, highend suspension components and a more race ready position. Its wild, feels like the other day when manufacturers would just put the bare minimum suspension and brakes, with a punch engine and comfy ride position. BUT and thats a big but, if they're pushing such high end specs into this class the whole point of why it exists must still remain true. AFFORDABILITY! Manufacturers can't now release these 400's and put an msrp of 5000 dollars. The price of these motorcycles just get more and more expensive, I feel if this class wants to last then these bikes need to have an msrp of between 4200 and 4800 dollars. Because even now an R7 retails for the same price as a lightly used 600 which is insane. People will always opt for a second hand well kept 600 or 750 from the last 10 years, than a brand new yamaha mt 07 with fairings going for the same price.

Now Aprilia has a full range, to start on the RS 457 then to the RS660 then to the RSV4. Thank the Gods they didn't reveal a new RSV4 as I doubt I could resist ordering one instantly.
I think next year will be a new V4 for 2025.
You forgot the RS125, it's very far from the old 2T but for those markets with the start of A1 at 16 that's your entry point for Aprilia
The RS660 is really the best choice. It's the sweetspot in my opinion. Affordable, fast enough for the most of the time and situations. Near Full adjustable.

Great looking motorcycle! Smart of Aprilia to have an entry level motorcycle for newer riders. Now, if they could just add more dealerships in the US to expand their customer base.

Aprilia always makes incredible bikes but we need more dealerships in Canada. 2-3 month wait time to book in an appointment where I live and we only get 6 months of riding season.

I’m in the UK. Dealers are a bit patchy here. I know a lot of people are put off of buying Aprilia due to lack of dealership’s and workshops.
Read any ADV site,everyone is wanting a lightweight '500cc' twin Adventure bike...there's the motor, bike to follow?

I know it’s gonna be released in India first but I could see it doing very well in the US too.
But again it’s all price dependent.
North America is priority for Aprilia with this new RS 457. Just had an extensive meeting with them about it. It's going to be a huge success, more than the RS 660 has been.

I have an idea on pricing but all I can say is it will be competitive. Regarding the exhaust, I'd need to test them first. But if I had to guess, SC Project SC1R might look too bulky on this smaller bike so maybe the Mivv that sits in the OEM position. But we'll see what SC Project comes out with. I'm sure they will make something special!

The rear is different than all the other Aprilias. It looks good. "Muscular"

This is the first beginner bike. The RS660 is an good beginner and great 2nd or intermediate bike. This RS 457 is beginner only or second/third track bike.
Well, it defintly sounds like a scooter, but we know how restrictive EURO 5 is so this thing gonna need a pipe asap lmao maybe to get it sound like the old RS250 racebikes.
Some E5 liter bikes sound like scooters.
