"How much of it's genetics how much of it is fate...How much of it depends on the choices that we make...He says i have her eyes do i also inherit his shame" I LOVE THE MOVIE AND THE SONGS!
If this song relates to anyone other than Shilo, it would be Crona from Soul Eater. He has a blood disease and is always being controlled by his mother. He wants to be set free from what he is and from his mother. This song is perfect in every way.
I feel so strongly connected with Shilo... I have a genetic mutation that affects the blood, and this is how I feel... hands down... :( I love this song, and this movie...
I remember being locked up in a psych ward to keep me from hurting myself. Every day there I hated my mother's side of the family for cursing me with the shit that's in my bloodstream and in my head.
I relate to this song greatly. Don't expect to live to my mid-thirties and my parents still want grandchildren, plural. What's more? They've got another kid and he's already showing early symptoms of some of the crap I've got.
Autoimmune and neurological disease here. My immune system has gone mad with power, so my body is literally at war with itself. Meanwhile I'm like, "Hey, keep it down in there! Terrance Zdunich is singing." My immune system is such a dick.
absolutely fantasmic song. i love the movie. one of my top 50 tehee. this is one of the best songs of the movie. The ending is so sad though. Her father never does find out it wasnt him that did it. Kinda upsetting...
Pardon me for dropping a reference but Aya from mad father much? It just reminds me of her. Though I'm pretty familiar with the plot of repo even though I've never seen it, I'm not old enough to according to my sister ^^;
Exactly, I have several issues, not majorly serious, I've inherited from my mother. and there are times when my knee is seriously playing up that this song fits amazingly. It doesn't have to be a blood disease, just an illness inherited from a parent or even just incredibly over-protective parent(s)
I Shilo! I'm sick and infected with something but I don't know what. I don't go outside much because family is always busy. I love bugs :3 and I absolutely love Repo! And TZ and DLB and everything because they make me feel better and not alone.
I love this espeacialy the end where she says I want to go out side because I'm always inside the house because I'm scared to go out or because my parents aren't home and I can't go outside.
my dad was playing this on his phone and i asked him what it was from and he told me about the movie...he got me obsessed. but he won't let me watch because he says i'm to young but i SO BADLY WANT TO WATCH IT!!
First heard this song back in 2014, but now I'm finding myself listening to this a lot during the Coronavirus crisis. Putting aside the 'genetic' subject of this song, we're all going to have to live like Shilo sequestered in our homes (or rooms if you're infected - hopefully not the hospital) longing 'to go outside' again. Stay safe everyone!
Yeah were can you get the movie oh and cause I'm on the wrong profile can you tell my sister her profile is Breana Miranda or Jazel Miranda in one of her videos that she like if that OK cause I and her always wanted to know
@SuicideBee It's about the distant future, where organ failures start happening. And you can get new organs. It becomes a fashion statement, sorta like plastic surgery for your insides. And if you dont pay, your organs are repossessed. While you're still alive. And Shilo has a blood disease from her dead mother which is what this song is about.
I go on scratch and I joined a MAP and it was the How much of the genetics? How much of it is fate how much of it depends on the Choices that we make He says I have her eyes
@catt0009 I'm sorry to hear that. Know that your Dad's mistakes and struggles do not reflect you as a person, and everyone in this world has demons to fight, so don't feel ashamed. I wish you and him the best of luck!
@SuicideBee It's called Repo! The Genetic Opera. Never seen the full movie, so I don't know exactly what it's about, but my friend showed me this song.
this describs me i was diognost with cancer at the age of 4 i ws mad cuz the docter said i got it from my father but now im helthy and live a helthy life
this is my work-out song. "how much of it's genetics? how much of it is fate? how much of depends on the choices that we make?" "why oh why are my genetics such a bitch?"
I've been feeling like this ever since I started taking online summer courses. Awful decision. My life is spent in front of the computer, when I should be working at my part time job more and going out with my friends. Oooooh, I want to go, outside! Outside..Oooooh...
no, you're thinking of Marni, Nathan did mean to poison Shilo (so he could keep her safe) and no where does it say after that is revealed that she has her mother's blood disease. I know it isn't clear and I guess you could claim she does still have it, but.. IDK
There are a LOT of are Genetics we hate, and yay some are a bitch. And some also have made us the way we are. Thank you! This is one of my favorite songs of all times!

I love her voice in this. I also love how she describes her "condition" as being infected. Absolutely love this song.

I feel Shilo completely...I have an eye condition that was caused genetically and I do agree...my genetics are SUCH a bitch.
mine too :'(
Autoimmune and neurological disease here. My immune system has gone mad with power, so my body is literally at war with itself. Meanwhile I'm like, "Hey, keep it down in there! Terrance Zdunich is singing." My immune system is such a dick.

....I love how this song is mostly her mocking her dad.
As someone who inherited chronic back pain, a deformed spine, poor sight, allergies etc from both my parents... This is a fucking mood
This is one of my favorite songs from the movie. Thanks for uploading this! :D
