I was a student from 94 to 97 all the way from Tonga in the Pacific. Great school.

Where did the observatory go? It used to be in the Chemistry/Physics/Dining Hall 'quad'. We built it ourselves along with the 16 inch (I think it was) Newtonian reflector. It was opened by Patrick Moore in the late 70's.

I’m currently in year 10 in Sevenoaks, I Suggest you work efficiently to get to the optimal level to get into the school in year 11.
fees - if a day pupil starts at age 11 that's £174k over 7 years. for a boarder - £215k

with all that income you wd think the 6th form wd get it's own common room. hanging about at tables in the diningroom doesnot seem very appropriate
In the new science and tech block, shown near the beginning - which is now complete. It has a whole sixth form centre with it's own cafe.

@@sykamoretree5252 Another thing is, I'm not certain about sixth form, but the rest of the school doesn't really hang out in the common room constantly. We hang out outside of the sport centre, or in the PAC (Performing Arts Centre). I think when you think of common room you are thinking of harry potter common rooms, they aren't like that.
@@smurfclaven4724 yre right, i am thinking of a comfortable room where students can relax between or after lessons with their peers. it seems like a pretty basic requirement to me. other schools have this facility, not just hogwarts
