I purchased Phobos immediately after hearing some of the moving presets and madness that is created in one preset. Initially, I thought that adding my own samples would be a wonderful idea. But, after playing with it for only a couple of days, I know that I do not need more or personal samples. I am amazed and when I sit at my workstation, I cannot keep my fingers away from using it. BT and Spitfire, thanks. Phobos is so much better then another library of classical instruments!
Fantastic interview, i could listen to BT for hours, very talented and humble man. Now get in his studio for a tour ;) His Monster soundtrack is superb.
Don't get me wrong.. I love the synth and I do appreciate the tones, and loops it comes with...however, if they allowed user sounds to be uploaded into it, it would be an absolutely revolutionary synth. I feel like my creativity is limited somehow by it not allowing user tones, beats, or loops. I hope that they consider that request. It would be a must owned synth if the allowed for that flexibility.
Ben G the issue is it works in a incredibly specific way. Putting random sound into it simply wouldn't yield the outstanding results you hear from it. For example drop a random sample into a convolution reverb and the results are very unexpected
Unders but that would be up to us to figure out :) part of the process, and after a while you become familiar with it and have an idea what will "work" with what, just like with any tools that are new to you.
I think there's something to be said about synths and gear in general with limits. If every synth let you upload your own "this and that", then pretty soon, you'd have a lot of similar sounding synths. A huge part of the sound of Phobos, is using the heavily curated timbres from BT, Spitfire and Co. I mean, should every Moog synth let you upload your own custom waveforms? Id be open to Phobos having official expansion packs in the future, but as it is, I don't think I'll ever get close to using even a quarter of what's already in there, and what's there is really good!
This man changed my life for the better in 1999 and on. Thank you for letting me see the beauty of life through your music.
So incredibly proud of how far and the impact this man has had on our culture. Truly a treasure.❤️

Great interview...and fantastic work with BT Phobos!
Brian is a genius!!! ❤️
film wise he really did a good job in the fast and the furious and gone in 60 seconds.
Love him.
nice, but can You make a library with Tom Holkenborg?... NOW that would be another level!. keep up the great work Spitfire!
Great suggestion ;)
What do the others think about his hair, I hope they still think his hair looks very amazing.

agreed 100%
I'll second that too. It's one of the great things about Omnisphere 2, being able to chuck anything at it.

To be fair, IMA was a religious experience.
Fun fact: "Ima" literally means "prayer" in Hungarian.
@@hatzegopteryx.sounds3637 Means "Now" in Japanese
