It's really been 5 months guyssss WOW!
I'm so happy I decided to stick it out with this set! Thank you all for encouraging me and motivating me each an everyday of this journey :)

Hey Gabby, so I have my natural hair the bud or locc, then about 2 inches from the bottom my 2 strand twists are side by side and not twisted. I'd like my locc thicker so I'm letting it do it's thing
I think my hair texture is loose in the front. Some have separated but are holding hands at the very end lol Loccing slowly

Finally found someone who's started their journey at the same time as me! I'll be one month in 4 days
I was so geeked my first month. And my hair began frizzing and knotting (where the new growth and twist meet) sooo quick. I was too thirsty. I am now going on 5 months and love every moment of this journey.

@@casiphiaisrael6709 for the most part, depending on texture. I think it's best to go in, touch, and palm roll your locs. Had to remind myself it is still my hair, still technically, though budding, loose strands. Make it so that you are one with your hair. Avoid things you hear that cause loss or thinning and just think nourishing thoughts every time you touch your hair. You will know what to do for it.

Thank you!! I moisturize whenever I feel like my hair is getting crusty lol so about 2x a week now!

heyyy, do you have any tips for dealing w unraveling twists? Im about to hit 2 months in a couple days. I've put in some rubber bands at the ends on some but theres still a gap...idk what to do. LOVED THIS VIDEO btw !

Just twirl it around your finger to make a coil or keep retwisting it
Hey! So from my experience, I had like 2 locs a couple months ago that had small gaps in them but the rest of the loc was already beginning to loc. I really wasn't sure what to do so I honestly left it alone lol and now there's no more gaps! But I understand this isn't the case for everyone so I would say your next few retwists, clip that area after palm rolling/retwisting until it's dry. It might take a while for it to combine together but you can try that and see what happens within the next few months.
Also don't poke your finger through the gap 😭😭 I was doing this and it was making it worse but after leaving it alone I was fine! As a last resort you could crochet it together!

Why do people only put jewellery at the ends of the locs?
I think it's because it adds weight to them! The first year or so your locs tend to grow outwards or stick up but with the jewelry it allows them to stay down and swing a little lol
