I’m really enjoying your videos! We are hiking the trail in early September and your videos really show what we will experience hiking the trail - especially the difficult parts along loch lomand and the devils staircase. Thanks again for posting your videos!
How historic is this. you actually caught the passing of QE2 on her journey South for her funeral. She served her people well. Your journey is also a beacon for the people who are not in their first flush of youth. ❤❤
Well done on the devil’s staircase weather looked perfect for the hike ,I need jelly babies (high in sugar sweets)to help me up there, so many people walking we hardly met anyone in April.thanks for sharing you experience.
I though going in September it wouldn't be that busy, but it was. The weather was great though - not too hot or too cold. A bit windy at the top, but it was a great day!
No, not really. I mean it's steep enough to leave me winded, but it wasn't so steep that it's a strain on the muscles or anything. It's not technically hard, just long.
Full disclaimer: I REALLY hate going uphill. I get a bad attitude, I hate hiking, and I re-think all my life choices that brought me there. I generally get over it once I can breathe again. This was hard in that I was REALLY winded, but it wasn't a big strain on the legs, and it wasn't hard the way the rocky section along Loch Lomond is. I had to stop and get my breath a few times, but it was very lovely and I was fine once I could breathe!
It's not terrible. If you can manage Conic Hill and the stretch along Loch Lomond, you can do this for sure. I had to catch my breath a couple of times, but it's not too hard if you do that. Well, some people may not *need* to do that, but I definitely did:) Have a great time!
@@SomeBoldAdventure oh I will def have to catch me breath a few times 😂,I’m 62 not the fittest but started to do some walking everyday ,me and my middle daughter are doing it for the Birmingham kids hospital,we did climb snow at night last year ,that was hard but well worth it
I am thinking about climbing Devil's Staircase next month, so I find this video very useful ..
The views are stunning - you did a great job capturing the upcoming climb from the distance and then showing what the uphill reality is up close.
Thank you so much for by far THE best video log of the WHW. We now feel much better prepared for our trip in June. Well done Donna!
I watch any video that has Buachaille Etive Mòr in it. Love that mountain 🏔️😍!
Well done. Nice videos of your journey on the WHW.

Loved watching your vlog❤

I hope you do - it's an amazing place!
That's a beautiful adventure! the WHW is really a unique experience. Wonderful video
Thank you!
I’ve loved your series! It’s been especially nice knowing you did your hike one day behind us and also did it in eight days. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you - glad you liked it! There will be more videos, but I'm taking a couple of weeks off for the holidays.
Makes you puff! I'm going to do with my dog in a couple of weeks time if not too much snow.

It's tough but it's worth it for the view of the Mamores. If you get a view! 🙂
Every step of this was worth it - it was so beautiful!
Did it seem very steep when you hiked up it?

Amazing views 😍. Was the devils staircase as bad as folk make out ?
