- Lenin in 1918 (Russian: Ленин в 1918 году, Lenin v 1918 godu) is a Soviet biographical drama film released in 1939. It gives the background of the Russian Civil War after the October Revolution.
The film was directed by Mikhail Romm with E. Aron and I. Simkov as co-directors. The script was written by Aleksei Kapler together with Taisiya Zlatogorova.
Note: This is the version that has been expunged of all references to Stalin. if anyone can find a pre-Khrushchev version, please let me know!

I came across this video and I managed to found the one with Stalin in it. It is 2 hours and 5 minutes, so that one is very different to the 1-hour and 45-minute version.

What do you think of Nasser and Arab socialism?
I can't say I know much about it. The closest I've gotten is reading The Green Book and wasn't significantly impressed, though I stand behind pan-Arab movements. I suppose my position is: I'm not an Arab or African, so it isn't truly my place to have a position other than to give critical support to anyone resisting imperialism in their own fashion for the sake of their working classes.
