Sangakkara's run from 2006-2015 was absolutely insane.
He was consistently in the top 5 runscorers of the year list for a whole decade.
Wish he ppayed on for 2 more years as a Test only veteran. Had a real shot at breaking Tendulkars test century record had he started earlier than 22.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that his batting average was in the 40s/50s when he wasn’t keeping and opening at the same time.
But England’s batting was so unsettled that they kept giving him both jobs. As a great team man he did what they asked, to the detriment of his career stats.

Wow - Bradman had a bad year in 1937, only averaged in the high 90s. Every other year when he was at the top (6 of them) he averaged over 100. That surely settles the GOAT debate - if there ever was any doubt.

Tendulkar was highly consistent and he came to the top quite far part in years which is extraordinary. Generally, batsman have a short spurt where they are at their peak over 2-3-4 or even 5 years. In saying that, Bradman of course has the best record in any time. If there was one batsman to choose that we can confidently say would be the most dominant in any era, it is Viv Richards!!😊👍
