  • In our first video, we took this carburetor apart. In this video, we put it back together. Before it goes back together, it is cleaned, machined, cleaned again, painted, and baked in the oven.
It performs well when placed on the engine by base setting the throttle plates, discharge volumes, and idle mixture screws. After 5 minutes of fine-tuning, this set is ready to be fully drained and packed.
    Thanks for watching.

Hey Kurt, would carbs improve my CIS engine's performance? Worth it?

Chuck, Carburetors would be a step in the wrong direction for your SC. The CIS fuel injection is so much more efficient and effective than carburetors would ever be.

👍 Why do you paint them?

The Cerakote is just a better way to seal the bodies than the old Chemfilm coating that they used in the 70's. Just like any other untreated part, if nothing is done to protect the surface, then the component will degrade.
