What I appreciate about this song is that he’s obviously a talented singer but it doesn’t rely on showing off. He’s only as flashy as the song itself demands. Which shows a level of self-assurance a lot of talented singers don’t seem to have (almost like they’re trained to believe that if they’re not 100% on, then something’s wrong). He seems more concerned with making sure the song is actually good. I like that. Some songs aren’t made for belting or performing runs, and you can still tell he’s equipped enough to pull those off just by listening to it.
