Synopsis: When President of the Czech Republic Václav Havel was writing his plays, they were banned from being performed. Since the fall of Communism and Havel becoming President, his dissident works, which lampooned the old totalitarian regime, are now performed across the city. Before Havel criticised the Czech government - now he runs it, a career move that surprised no one more than perhaps Havel himself. ABC Australia profiles the intellectual's transition from anti-establishment to establishment , including interviews with Havel himself, and dissident colleague and Czech Prime Minister Václav Klaus.

Sudetenland is historically Czech Kingdom. I'm ancestor of Czech and German, from west of Bohemia. I hope one day we see a stone of reconciliation betwour mixed nations. Germans build our towns and we make them homeless after the war.. I hope one day we can live together bring back love, hard work and friendship. Regards to Germany. My town is called Loket-Elbow, see you soon. 😘

AS I remember in his book, "Valcalv Havel, A Life" he mentioned that he was on antidepressant medication. This technically would make him classified as mentally Ill. So how did this genius mental case write so many plays and become such a great leader and overthrow communism? Be careful who you call "mentally ill" and discard or restrain. The term is a mirage for political oppression by corrupt individuals that have no regard for human rights.

not so great. Don't forget his cynical phrase about humanitarian bombing of Belgrade. Gerat people do not justify crimes like this.
