Hi gem you ok, nice one for another vid. On the humber we have bin smashing the sole the last 3 weeks or so . All in the day in boiling hot sunshine aswell or overcast. Mainly on 2 hook flappers with fresh Lug tipped with a sliver of squid. Unlucky on ya session gem. All the best from G.Y

Of all sessions were good ones I reckon it would get a bit boring. Need a slow one sometimes to keep it real.

Good video Gem, it’s always reassuring when you don’t catch anything. 😂

Was at Deal yesterday didn't need any bait as nothing was going on!. Apart from a hound on pier and a red Gurnard. I was further along with lure rod but there was a dirty line out to around 100 metres gave it a go for a while but as water low kept catching the weed and Limpets off the stones/Rocks >Cack and didn't want to chance my luck and loose lure.
One thing you could do with the multi tip rod is a Bombarda float with either worm or Red gill type lure on a long length of Fluro

Yeah I have some of those floats and some flies to use with them. Just not got around to it yet! Busy times for me this summer and it’s racing past. Shame nothing doing down Deal. Next time hopefully.

Hey Gem, love the vids. How do you find the Trabbuco line fits the 14000 spools? Do you fit shallow or deep spools with spacers or backing? Thanks 😊

Yes and yes, both spacers and backing line. The one issue I have is the size of the knot when tying the leader (it has leader both ends so you can reverse it) to the backing line. Sometime I just remove that leader so I get a tiny knot. I am actually about to respool so I am thinking of taping the tapered line securely to the spool, over the backing line. Not particularly great if I get a decent run so I’ll have to weigh up the risk of that happening veruses losing one of the leaders.

Love to know how it is down Seaford. I’ve not fished it much the last two years.
