Hi Shane, your videos are great! Thanks for creating this. I wanted to confirm, for step 1, I do apply so I can transfer whatever CU's I have done (previous classes). 2. Then whatever they say I have left to take, take it at study/sophia. Submit for transferring updated completed courses I had just taken. 3. After, pre-study for the classes I need to take at WGU. 4. Finally, register and finish up the final courses left. I appreciate you help. Kind regards
@@Sferguson360 I have a Bachelors in an unrelated field. I chose the program because it's IT Management from a project management view, so it's more of a broad IT view, you get a project management (CAPM)certification with the degree
@@shemickasimpson397this is what I plan to take as well however I didn’t get to finish college when I was younger but I do have my PMP. I am seriously considering the fast track program (Bachelors/Masters)
Hi Shane, I just finished watching this video and I enjoyed for I want to finish my BAchelors degree. I am 62 years and I had my daufhter when I was in college at the age of twenty and now tht she had attained two masters degree, I want to complete mine. pLUS, I have been working in IT for 32 years and not having a degree has hurt in advancement, attaining another job and or salary. I want to attain my degree before I retire and so for myself...that I have finish my degree. Thanks for the info.
Wow! I was not expecting this. A university with online studies that can be covered in six months. Av done the needful by following you and on tweeter for interesting informations like this. May i ask if we have univerities like this that offers online courses for Architecture (building). Thanks
What do I type in for (Pre-study)? I have used your method and completed about 50% of this degree. I am now enrolling to WGU but I am confused with how and where to go to pre study my remaining courses.
Yes they’re the same overall. The difference I saw is that some MIS programs offer concentrations like Data Analytics where the program is more technical than IT Management.
Can you talk about the Cognitive Science degree? For example: jobs you can possibly get, course rigor, best programs, etc. It would be deeply appreciated if you do. Thank you for the time and research you put into your videos.
That’s just the thing though, these methods of “hacking” into a degree are public domain, something employers also have access to. Why would they put a lot of stock into folks who they suspect might have fast tracked their way through their “easy”education? I mean, knowing all this, I sure wouldn’t.
Tbh if you present as knowledgeable in your field of choice and are likeable..... most employers would hire you regardless.. I've gotten plenty of jobs I didn't qualify for because I'm good at connecting with people. Literally have gotten interviews before they even saw my resume by being at talking to people.
You're still doing all the work. You're just doing it at an advanced rate. Degrees in IT can be useless at times anyway. You use nothing in your actual job. Not to mention that this particular degree is more focused on those who already have a measure of experience and just need the degree to cap the resume. Otherwise, I would say that if you have no experience as if you're out of high-school, then staying in college for four years might hold more weight.
@lawrenceshdow Exactly. Plus, a lot of tech employers know that a degree doesn't equal you having the skills to do the job. An ability to show your experience and a good network is really all you need.
@@zaofactor my point is that all things being equal, I’d hire someone who didn’t hack their way into a degree. If I was the hiring manager, having grinded at a brick and mortar school in CS, I’d hire someone who did the same over a “hackable” degree…that’s all I’m saying.

Hi Shane, Thanks for sharing all this, but I am not getting access to the spreadsheet. :(
Getting access to the cheat sheet would be great!
Hi Shane! Any other steps at getting access than only requesting through the link?
Tried to access the spreadsheet but no luck. Any suggestions?
Could you please open up access to the file?

How come I can’t access the spread sheet?
How is the job market for this degree?
Hey Shane, can you pls talk about financial technology.
I was told by WGU once they evaluate your transfer credits you add anything on later. I’ve also see other people say the same thing.
So far as you don’t start classes you can transfer in more

How do I get access to the spread sheet👀
Is Information Technology Management considered to be the same as Management Information Systems?
Yes they’re the same overall. The difference I saw is that some MIS programs offer concentrations like Data Analytics where the program is more technical than IT Management.
there all the same, MIS, ITM, BTM, BIS etc....

Does the WGU IT management course accept Coursera IT professional support certification for credits?
Going to use that code , thank you
Will you do their finance degree next?
I likely won't but it is in the sheet (or at least it should be)

This is great information but do you know (from an Active Duty Military Standpoint) if military TA will cover this?
I do not see why not. They are an accredited school.
Yes, AD TA covers this school.
Yes but if you attend WGU using TA for one year you would have to pay about $1700 out of pocket or through other funding options.
If you are in USN/USMC, check out the USNCC's associate degree program through WGU (and with other colleges).
