Well, at the end of the story if you go back to the cabin you can find Atreus’ journey. Atreus left it there so Kratos can read it and learn some of his own adventures. Maybe Kratos decided to keep something like an exchange diary with his son. Imagine them returning from foreign lands and leaving journals in their old home for the other to read. My theory is that tyr somehow is Jesus mostly because of the way he speaks and views Kratos’s past how he’s always looking for the good in people etc. and his strong connection to Valhalla maybe even the higher plain? He’s definitely worthy of going there in my opinion.
Also it is said that Jesus travelled the world, studied and learned from the worlds greatest cultures on the essence of spirit. He returned at 30 and began his work that we all know very well. Tyr has done the same.
You’re the first person who recognized Helios voice the first time you heard it. That shows you’re a true god of war nerd 😂. I also think like you,Initially I thought it deserved more epicness with a dedicated cutscene, but then yeah it is actually an illusion, I have questions about it and I would like an answer from the game directors, I would like to have it back concretely in future chapters, perhaps adding some "runic" attacks to it and new finishers, like how it could work with the jump button? 🤔

The details are just great. Anyone noticed the smile of Mimir in the end as Kratos answered his "what now?" question with "..i like to sit here for a while..."?
Thats way above todays hollywood level and we talk here about the cutszenes of a game dlc...
What I love about this dlc is that it forces you to use different combinations of perks than you'd normally use.
and specifically rewards you for doing so.
Watched the whole thing through. While i have not seen everything you put from your life on the internet, Kuba, this has to be the most satisfying content that i can remember. Not doing a livestream on this one, in order to now be able to anticipate your reactions, knowing what happens before it happens, has been a great move on your part. We basically have all come full circle with this. 👍🏻✌🏻
With the flashbacks it would be great if they had Tc Carson as kratos again talking in the flashback of kratos past in the original God of war Game's ❤
If santa Monica didn't end things with him the way they did and tc was in good standings with them, it would've definitely happened! And that scene would've been even more amazing that what it already is!
@@alexisjavier84what did Santa Monica do to him?
@@jasonmoore289replaced him without even telling him. I believe they didn't even tell him a new game is being made
@jasonmoore289 basically replaced him without saying a thing.
Tc Carson did a interview on why he was not in God of war 2018 on RUclips 👍
Great to see that we God Of War fans can enjoy one of the greatest series that exist
Also Tyrs consoling Kratos’ mental and emotional feelings through combat I feel would be how any Spartan would work out anything as one would spar a partner in mixed martial arts
this is my kind of therapy i need
seeing the greek stuffs here made me cry a bit for the first time for a game . but as a follower of god of war since 2007 i just felt so touched by this homage and gift to the players .
our boy kratos and us the players , it was a hell long of a journey since then on both the games and real life
Well, after this ending, Freya's words to Baldır come to mind, "Try to find forgiveness we can build something new". God I hope we see him build something new.
God of Hope, its theorycrafting time Kuba.
Best GOW Christmas present ever...I just wish we could have faced Hercules again, or fight the barbarian since he was the catalyst of kratos's transformation and destiny. Also I wonder if Tyrs' weapons are related to the realms of the next game???
49:54
*Kratos aggresively stuffs cyclopes eye in his pocket*
Helios: "Why did you do that??"
Kratos: "Quiet head..."
Really happy for Kuba that he finally enjoyed something related to ragnarok even if he didn't like main game story
Yea I’ve felt the same about the main game story but I’ll replay it just so I can use the classic appearance in cutscenes
I think he replayed it a month back and said that he sees why people like the story even if he doesn’t like it all that much
@@msbkaioken136 the kratos segments were masterpieces and the fight with Thor and heimdall were the best I’ve seen in a long time but the rest of the game (except the beserkers) were ok.
This DLC is everything I hoped for and more! But the question is, how does Kratos his journey continue from here? I feel like his journey has come full circle.
I think it’s time to follow Atreus and developed his own story. Kratos is done he can finally serve as patron and enjoy his time as a god.
Kratos' arc of healing is finished but he still has more room to grow. He needs to put in the work to make the Norse lands prosper and who knows, maybe other far-off lands have malevolent pantheons whose mortals need freeing from their tyranny...
@@johnnymartinez1631he was always before either destroying something else either trying to care about himself (which implies his family). We now see him claiming a title as a god again, but as a different man. We now should see him as a protector, as a respected leader for good so when people meet him they are not scared or afraid, but see hope came within a man... I think there is still far to go, up to being the most powerful deity of the world keeping justice and truth towards everybody
they've sai this is the last game that will feature Kratos i think. at least as a mian protagonist. plenty room for Atreus stories. but i mean they've had like 8 games out of him as a character, not a bad run, and this reinvention was stellar. not like its easy to pull that out of the hat again
@@christopherbowers7236we will see much more of him
Man this dlc was pure badass memories of the old gow games. The only thing missing is medusa type enemies.
"God of Hope" Gets me evertime.
Caliopea would be smiling.
Was here to see his reaction to the Blade of Olympus. Was not disappointed
01:10:44
You know, Kratos... when I look at you in just the right light, on that humble throne... I can hardly see the ashes. You are that golden man from the prophecy now
I don't really get too emotional when playing Games, but i audibly screamed when I got the Blade of Olympus.
Love that you take that & the Classic Skin into NG+.
Also, this DLC did so much for Týr.
@kaptain kuba: IMPRESSIVE!...The fact that you knew about the Macuahuitl(or obsidian club). Not many players knew what Tyr's second weapon even was. The fact that you did...Again...I am IMPRESSED.!
Also ALWAYS Good to see a fellow fan of Deadliest Warrior.😎👍
Tyr didn't just acquire the weapons, he spent time learning how to use them.
Learning how to use them from (most likely) the various Gods of War: Huitzilopochtli (Aztec), Sekhmet (Egypt), and Hachiman (Japan)
When I started ragnarok a year ago, I had my legs crossed, wrapped in a blanket on one of the coldest nights. I was sat in the exact same pose at the end of this 😭 so beautiful
As someone who played all of the games, even the PSP titles, this is utterly insane. I loved all of the references to the old games. And when I fought the Greek Enemies, I felt like I was 6 again. In my childhood, and it was just so good.
Props to Santa Monica. They knew how much we loved the old games, and they delivered.
Man the amount of waiting 😭 I know this video is gonna be worth it
For some reason I feel like the line where he says "You have always been more than what others saw" is an "attack" on people and critics that said the past Kratos was just a murderous monster, that he showed no emotion in the past games.
I mean Kratos whole speech at the end was basically a meta attack on that as well
Vahalla in nutshell: tyr tricks kratos going into therapy
When the customer feels like they should've PAID for your FREE product, that's when you know you've done well
52:15 Lol. Tyr attacks interrupting Kratos while he's answering his question about how it felt to plunge Greece into darkness
Kratos: It felt...
Tyr: DARKNESS COME! MYRKR!
"I should've live streamed this"
YEAH YOU SHOULDVE BRUH 😂😂
I still can't believe this DLC was bloody free
tlou2 remastered shoulda been the same
Yup. Massive respect to the devs. Seen lesser DLCs both in terms of quality and content that charge money.
16:28 The fact that Kuba needed to put that disclaimer in the corner really says a lot about this moment
Absolutely loved this! Please continue with these! And keep up the awesome work!
I love the fact that you were smiling all the way through the tyr fight that's why I love you kuba you are a true fan like us ❤
A man can fight a thousand wars but the greatest battle is the one within ourselves.
This dlc is amazing but my favorite thing in this game is seeing Helios again even if it was brief
It wasn't brief if you add the deaths.
this is the best highlight I've seen for the DLC straight to the point and Important things till the end + your reactions
Me after 40 hrs in this dlc. “BRO YOU GOTTA PARRY’” as I die for the 200th time.
I lost it when I saw Helios and then went out my bedroom when I saw the blade 😭
16:45 "return my son or you may meet the god i once was" 😂😂😂
From God of war to now God of Hope. 🔥 🔥
Dude i cant count the qmount of times i teared up/cried during this, mimirs story, his past everything ,god of hope spekaing to his you ger self, played this game since i was a kid im 28 now and its the most beautiful piece of gaming written
This is gonna be WILD!!
My theory is that tyr somehow is Jesus mostly because of the way he speaks and views Kratos’s past how he’s always looking for the good in people etc. and his strong connection to Valhalla maybe even the higher plain? He’s definitely worthy of going there in my opinion.
He kinda looks like Jesus as well
He's probably as close to Jesus as they'll ever go
Also it is said that Jesus travelled the world, studied and learned from the worlds greatest cultures on the essence of spirit. He returned at 30 and began his work that we all know very well. Tyr has done the same.
You’re the first person who recognized Helios voice the first time you heard it. That shows you’re a true god of war nerd 😂. The only thing I was kinda sad about was that the blade of Olympus was just an illusion. I was hoping they’d actually bring it back. They could’ve easily came up with an explanation like it was in kratos soul or something the entire time because the blade of Olympus was a summonable weapon in the old games that would come out when kratos used his rage.
I wish we can get to keep the thors hammer
@@SLIVER-MACEThor’s daughter has it
I also think like you,Initially I thought it deserved more epicness with a dedicated cutscene, but then yeah it is actually an illusion, I have questions about it and I would like an answer from the game directors, I would like to have it back concretely in future chapters, perhaps adding some "runic" attacks to it and new finishers, like how it could work with the jump button? 🤔
@@SLIVER-MACEBro still think about the hammer after having the blade of Olympus 💀
@@avocadoj1736lol exactly. The blade of Olympus is the strongest weapon in the series canon. I have no idea why you’d want the hammer after getting the blade of Olympus 😂.
This was a joy to watch! Was genuinely happy for you man!
He ain’t a god of war anymore
He is the GOD OF HOPE
😭😭😭
7:26 colliope and lyssandra's scream!
Omg you are right!! I never realized that
Kratos: *screams in agony from fire*
Kuba: c:
THIS WAS TRULY A MASTERPIECE
Just beat it last night and was blown away! It's about time my man Kratos is the God of Hope! Also Tyr is the GOATTTTT. I was really hoping we would finally get to see Forseti in the dlc and i hope we do eventually.
I love How Tyr's selection of Weapons mirrors Kratos respectively and symbolism
Draupnir- Faye's Shield and the Greek Hoplight Spear and shield(His Identity being Greek and his Present)
Sword of Olympus - The Macuahuitl(His Godhood)
The Chaos blades - The Egyptian Kopesh(His past as God of War)
The Leviathan Axe - The Japanese Odachi(His Future as God of Hope)
I’m very happy you noticed the macuahuitl and Tyr’s change into armor at the second fight. Plus, the khopeshes on the third.
had to sell my ps5 for personal reason I am so glad my fav GOW creator was there to show me the DLC I wasn't able to play thank you kaptin kuba
Sigrun saving Kratos and Mimir was a top tier moment
Not even kidding I yelled when I heard Helios like I love this DLC so much
I’m so happy that you knew instantly what the maquahuitl was and pronounced it perfectly.
If Kratos and Freya dont fall in love next game.. ill enter rage mode myself
It's so wholesome hearing you and your wife talk about this I love it
I waited a few days to play this, was busy with other stuff. Played this pass weekend just to avoid spoiling it for myself. Nostalgia was HEAVY while playing.
Really chilling watching Kratos address his pass and finally come to terms and forgive himself.
I feel like I know this man in real life 😂🤣💯
Lol he came at 24:15
Its brilliant how the developers of God of war 5 where able to capture a moment of God of war 2 (the sirens and their song). Il never for get their song. Nostalgia.
Bro I’m so hype to see your reaction to _____ and ____ AND BRO WHEN HE PULLS OUT____ DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WHEN HE WALKS UP TO ____
Braaa that just moves the soul !!!! Especially if you know everything kratos has been through so much character development and growth. Kratos overcoming his demons and choosing to live and become hope for some people is great writing!!!!
