Yep. It's for the same reason that I always considered Corey Taylor's screams from IOWA to sound so much more agressive than most more extreme brutal vocals. The shred of humanity bleeding through adds a lot when used correctly.
This song did everything that I wanted them to do with Cursed To Die. When I heard the melody in that song, I was kinda hoping they'd lean into it for a more melo-death kind of sound, and instead it ending up kind of getting lost in the frenzy and sounded samey. Here, they finally let their melodies take the forefront, and even tamed back the riffing a little bit. The slower drums and more "straight-forward" vocal delivery worked so well for the mood of the song. Either this or Into The Earth is my favorite single, but this song is just BEAUTIFUL.
Muffins! This has to be the only deathcore video I've ever seen that brought tears to my eyes. And when you hear Adam talk about the title to the album and these tracks, and how it relates to his constant suicidal thoughts...this just hits heavy, and in a totally different way than we've come to expect from Lorna. To the Hellfire may have been what put LS on the map for larger audiences, but this could be what elevates them to a brand new level, allowing audiences to form a stronger connection rather just being amazed by the talent and heaviness they bring to the table. Just an incredible track
I can see the issue with the overbearance of blast beats, but not for me. For me, without the blast beats I would miss something. With that being said, the breaks in the blasts from time to time in this song are divine, at just the right moments and perfect length. The guitar solo tho, I am always blown away. Adam is a literal solo god and an absolute beast overall. This is hands down my favorite single so far, it's so beautiful and I get always teary eyed listening to it. A perfect song to stuff yourself full of MUFFINS.
Also, it's really cool that making a more melodic song didn't instantly translate to "Let's add singing". I almost expected it at some point in the song, but it never came, because Lorna Shore is different. I have no issue with adding clean vocals, but that would've been the predictable way to make an emotional song, and they avoided it. Plus, nobody will beat Whitechapel in the "deathcore with cleans" department, in my opinion!
Not having a breakdown helped this song tremendously. Great single to put out especially since it thins out the lack of diversity in the recent singles. LS are literally kings and will forever be
Not sure if anyone has mentioned here but I've seen some people interpreting the sudden cut at the end of the song to the sudden loss of someone and something beautiful being taken away suddenly
That song is the first ever Deathcore Song that made me cry and thats why this song is so special to me and already means a lot to me, cause I also can relate to the lyrics Also To The Hellfire has pretty emotional lyrics, it means a lot to Will
I absolutely agree with you about the blast beats. I LOVE me some blast beats. As a drummer for 23+ years in extreme metal, I utilize blast beats regularly. However, I try my best to never rely on them and use them sparingly. I try to more rely on rhythm and writing drums you can bang your head to and have a good time with. I still love everything Lorna has done since getting Will on board. But I DO wish they'd tone down the blasts a bit. At least for certain songs. If you like melodic Deathcore/Death Metal, my band is called Darker By Design. We put out an album in early 2021 called Necrolatry. Even if you don't react to it, I still think you may enjoy it. We have a decent variety of styles that we use, and one of our main instruments is a cello. At times, even piano and cello.
Everytime I hear this song it rips my fucking heart out throws it on the ground and stomps on it. Also I feel that there is more of an impact given that Will is such a fucking nice dude.
Been looking forward to this reaction, I have been watching your reactions for a good while now and never said something, but you are truly my favourite reacter and i always like to hear your opinion. Plus you are authentic and truly honest about your feelings when you review a song, there you go Muffins
First off, Muffins. Second, appreciate that you reacted to this song and that your opinion of LS has opened up a bit, I see them doing great things for the evolution of Deathcore in the future, and I'm sure we're all excited to see what they put out next
It's songs like Dancing Like Flames (seriously emotional deathcore, without it being a joke), To The Hellfire (super-atmospheric blackened deathcore) from Lorna Shore and albums like Elegy by Shadow of Intent (worth a listen, pretty great symphonic deathmetal/core) that've totally reinvigorated my love for extreme music. And, sort of restored my hope for fresh bands within the genre. Because for oldheads like me who grew up on scandinavian melodic deathmetal and oldschool death metal the genre of deathcore wasn't really interesting for... well almost a decade.
I´m going out on a Limb here and say that Lorna Shore will roll over us like a Freighttrain in Part two and three ,wether through sheer Brutallity and Breakdowns or even more emotionality through Cleans und whatnot . I´m o.k. with either 🙂
Bro, Will went Banana Nut MUFFINS on this song. Agree with what you said about them changing it up. Could still do without the blastbeats at times. We know Will can groove per the Lifeblood remix. So Id like to see more from the instrumentals in that area. Otherwise, great track!
Muffins! Great reaction Birb, definitely agree with your pros/cons list of this track. It's certainly a stand-out from the others realesed on the album so far. Really dig the emotion and part at the end where Will is just talking, a great breakup from the usual heaviness. Have a great weekend bud!
Definitely my favorite song from lorna shore, deathcore really sometimes has no identity in its music. This Definitely speaks to you and it's phenomenal!
Somebody stole my muffin yesterday and man... The pain remains... 💔 😢 beautiful emotional deathcore by the boys, epic track can't wait to hear it in full and see them live!
This song makes me cry every time! I saw them live yesterday and they did not play this! Was very sad, but they played every other song that Will sings. wow
Muffins!! Nice video dude, good reaction. I totally agree with you about the last couple of tracks, they sounded so similar to each track, they are still great tracks but they were very predictable. With this song they definitely changed it up. Very emotional and beautiful song. Excited for the rest.
Muffins 😂 These guys have made it up there with ETID on my favorite bands of all time list. I can't wait to hear this album in its entirety. I'm probably overanalyzing, but I feel like the album will almost follow a 3-act structure and this release kicks off the 3rd act. I'm kind of hoping part II is all about rage after loss and is one of, if not the heaviest song off the album and then part III can either go fairly hopeful or end it on a very melancholic note. I heard they're releasing the second part as the final single and if that's the case I'll probably skip it just to savor the experience of hearing it all the way through on release day. October 14th can't come fast enough!
Muffins - delicious breakfast muffins. Hehe you like what you like and the whole point of a reaction is to let folks know what you think so it's all good. I know where you're coming from with the relentless machine gunning of the blast beats turning everything into a hyperkinetic stew of noise, it can absolutely annihilate any point of the song if it's not balanced correctly. I love when bands use more dynamics, folks like Shadow of Intent or even Humanities Last Breath are doing insanely creative work with the space in the song which is like nectar to me. I've loved all the singles so far and feel they all have a different thing to say, BUT as you say that's all subjective and this definitely got me. I wasn't obliterated like with Constance but it brought tears to my eyes at points. I also love how they are opening up the genre to so many people, like with Electric Callboy bringing new people to metalcore Lorna Shore seem to have hit the sweet spot with Will they're all at the top of their game and it's wonderful to see. That solo is so good, it, again, has something to say in the song, it is actually beautiful. Great reaction.
muffins!! First death core song to create that stage of emotions.. got me a good one!! Fav 2022 heavy yet beautiful song!!! Love the honesty and love the channel!! 🤙🏾🤙🏾
Muffin. I absolutely loved this song. I love that the brutal breakdown wasn't the music, it was the emotion in the music and lyrics. The video was heart wrenching. I heard that Adam wrote the screenplay for the video.
Wanna hear what Croatian metalcore sounds like?! Then look no more and head to Pale Origins and their Deathbreather. I was blown away realizing that here in Croatia we have a band that sounds like they do..fekin A+.. 🤘😎
And I Return To Nothingness has some of the most emotional lyrics I've ever heard in a deathcore release up until Pain Remains Part One. For those paying attention, that's why Lorna Shore connects on a much more deeper level than other deathcore bands, imo. Aside from the music being absolutely excellent, their lyrics are just as an important credit to why Lorna Shore is so popular and not a lot of people mention it.
The other reason being that Will is a good charismatic frontman that will probably lead to many ''hardcore'' fans of deathcore hating on Lorna Shore from now on. But I agree. And I Return to Nothingness is a great, great EP.
Everyone loves to talk about will Ramos as a vocalist but not as a lyricist. The lyrics he gives the songs are really deep sometimes and really relatable. Also I disagree about the blast beat comments you made. I think the two parts in the verses where they did it made some of the best parts of the song besides the solo 🤌🏼. I agree about the clean logo too, super sick.
Your reaction was gold, love this band and I appreciate the deviation away from what we normally expect from them. They are brilliant musicians beyond blast beats. 🖤🔥🤟
muffins? lol. anyways I think this song has the least amount of blast beat parts I heard from them since Will took over. I'm curious as to which sections you thought would have been better if different drum fills or patterns were inserted.
if you dont think deathcore has a lot of emotion please check out Orphans debut album Porcelain. dropped not too long ago and its by far some of the heaviest shit ive ever heard. musically and emotionally
I know theres a looot of hype around Lorna Shore - but i think its still so very under-appreciated how good their intros are... almost every single one: iconic imo
In this song .. you are the breakdown 😭
Lmfao, dropping straight facts
Definitely. Yes.
Yes it is
No other description necessary
So true. The end of this song breaks me every time.
Will letting his true voice squeak through in the screams after the spoken word part is what makes it hit so hard to me emotionally
Yep. It's for the same reason that I always considered Corey Taylor's screams from IOWA to sound so much more agressive than most more extreme brutal vocals. The shred of humanity bleeding through adds a lot when used correctly.
Bro the chills when Will says "a world without you isn't meant for me". Hoooooly fuck
This song did everything that I wanted them to do with Cursed To Die. When I heard the melody in that song, I was kinda hoping they'd lean into it for a more melo-death kind of sound, and instead it ending up kind of getting lost in the frenzy and sounded samey. Came for a breakdown, left with an emotional breakdown 😭
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Muffins. Such a beautiful tear jerker. The video the solo, the blast beats which didn't seem overwhelming, new favorite for me for sure.
Not having a breakdown helped this song tremendously. Great single to put out especially since it thins out the lack of diversity in the recent singles.

lol so pathetic
@@MarxOnMars "LOL so pathetic" literally says the one with the edgy IA PFP
I would check out some of In Dying Arms! Especially the album Boundaries. Emotional deathcore with cleans

The part that starts just around 5:55 in this video kinda gives me Landon Tewers / Plot In You vibes - anyone else?
MUFFINS, also happy to see you react to another Lorna single. Hope you’re doing well, my g
LETS GO 🔥🤘😈🤘🔥
Lorna transcended breakdowns to make YOU the breakdown, nah but seriously this song always brings me too tears😭
First off, Muffins.
Second, appreciate that you reacted to this song and that your opinion of LS has opened up a bit, I see them doing great things for the evolution of Deathcore in the future, and I'm sure we're all excited to see what they put out next
I very much disagree on the past 3 singles bleeding together; they're all so different, to my ears. This one is *WAY* different though, and I love it.
I definitely agree.

MUFFIIIIIIIIINS!
This song legit gave me the feels, which is a first for me listening to such a heavy band
Every new song they release seems to be my new favourite song of theirs, the full album is going to be insane
I'm glad you don't kiss bands asses. Keep being honest with the reviews 🤙🏻 It's what helps artists grow.
emotional deathcore born when Caliban drop their single This oath
listen to it guys and also watch music video
this is the masterpiece for all time
Definitely my favorite song from lorna shore, deathcore really sometimes has no identity in its music. This Definitely speaks to you and it's phenomenal!
Muffins! Never watched a video of yours before, but I liked this one. I appreciate you giving criticism and giving a level headed reaction.
Good reaction and review genuine opinions too perfectly encapsulates what a reaction channel should be
Muffins man!! Great takes and love the honest and unbiased reviewing. This song hit hard
What a great song and neat to see them branch out and continue to change the scene. Also, I'm now craving some blueberry muffins.
I get major Whitechapel vibes from this track and I’m here for it.
I was watching ravenfires reaction in the chat and watching them change their mind was awesome! This song is beautiful
Muffins.
Great react and review to an all out awesome song!
And i return to nothingness made me tear up at the end just because how beautiful it is. But this hits different. A whole new level.....
Lorna Shore simply does not disappoint
Somebody stole my muffin yesterday and man... The pain remains... 💔 😢 beautiful emotional deathcore by the boys, epic track can't wait to hear it in full and see them live!
Lorna Shore be like, "Melodic Death Metal? Hold my viking horn."
This song makes me cry every time! I saw them live yesterday and they did not play this! Was very sad, but they played every other song that Will sings. wow

Love me some Muffins... Oh and Lorna Shore too :D
And that solo brooo! That solo!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
This may be my favorite song of Lorna Shore...can't wait for the all 3 parts
muffins!!
First death core song to create that stage of emotions.. got me a good one!! Fav 2022 heavy yet beautiful song!!!
Love the honesty and love the channel!! 🤙🏾🤙🏾
I feel this is there best song yet. I feel the core element real strongly in this one and I feel they blended it well with the heavy blast beats.
Aye Reliqa released a new EP. It's absolutely 🔥.
Muffin.
I absolutely loved this song. I love that the brutal breakdown wasn't the music, it was the emotion in the music and lyrics. The video was heart wrenching. I heard that Adam wrote the screenplay for the video.
This!
Will Ramos 🤘🤘Huge Respect for His Vocal It’s Just Super Wow 🤘🤘Love from Nepal 🇳🇵
Hardest intro since blood soaked symphony by white chapel
Muffins! Great take as usual this band took us well beyond their wow factor with this one
Muffins!! Great review ❤
I don't always agree what u got to say but yeah you differently right on about this my man 💯
Straight to the point raw emotion on those lyrics!
That intro took me on a ride haha 😂
Adam has become one of Deathcore’s top guitarists.
muffins. This song became my favorite and I’m a core kid. It’s so intense but so emotional too.
Muffins. Great song solid review keep it up
Wait for Part 2 & 3, if you think this song is the furthest they've come from the regular deathcore sound. 😉
Gotta react to As Hell Retreats - Dissent
First song they released since they broke up in 2012 but they're back. It's djenty goodness
A another great song by Lorna shore and what I like Is how the solo was slower than normal and muffins.
Wanna hear what Croatian metalcore sounds like?! Then look no more and head to Pale Origins and their Deathbreather. I was blown away realizing that here in Croatia we have a band that sounds like they do..fekin A+.. 🤘😎
Finally something a little different! Muffins!
I feel the same about them every song was sounding basically the same, but this song really blew me away glad they changed it up
Fit for an Autopsy - Mirrors is another good emotional ride. Loss through drug addiction.
Muffins!!❤
I actually think this is their best song to date and no breakdown THANK FUCKING GOD
Gotta do a reaction to the new TDWP album it’s worth it
Nice change of pace. Muffin
What I Would Give by Angelmaker is another incredible emotional death core song
Muffins! Great video!
Best Lorna song with Will yet!
Some solos end up sounding the same. "Not going to drop names", Cough* Shadow of Intent Elegy Cough*.
MUFFINS
I saw a comment that said “Pain Remains is Elegy’s cousin” and it felt so accurate
muffin :D absolutely immense song :D
The solo and final verse broke me entirely
Yes!! I literally ugly cried against my will
And I Return To Nothingness has some of the most emotional lyrics I've ever heard in a deathcore release up until Pain Remains Part One. Lorna is now in a league of their own
The feels... Just the feels...
Why specifically muffins? Lol.
But yea this song kicks ass and i think its lornas best work so far because of all the same reasons you touched on.
I’m assuming the ending was just a metaphor of losing someone without any expectation.

The Gloom in the Corner?
Angelmaker also has some emotional songs.
Your reaction was gold, love this band and I appreciate the deviation away from what we normally expect from them. They are brilliant musicians beyond blast beats. 🖤🔥🤟
Are you ever gonna react to parts 2 and 3?
Historical reaction!
Muffins
muffins? lol. anyways I think this song has the least amount of blast beat parts I heard from them since Will took over. I'm curious as to which sections you thought would have been better if different drum fills or patterns were inserted.
Muffins! Also Hi GollySteve
:::crying in deathcore::::
Or is it the fact that there are so many blast beats that those rare slower beats end up becoming more impactful?
Amazing song
First plus i love your content
I ate a whole tin of muffins while crying to this song...😭
if you dont think deathcore has a lot of emotion please check out Orphans debut album Porcelain. dropped not too long ago and its by far some of the heaviest shit ive ever heard. musically and emotionally
I know theres a looot of hype around Lorna Shore - but i think its still so very under-appreciated how good their intros are... almost every single one: iconic imo
Better late than never right? Time to snack on a Muffin...
The evolution of deathcore. Truly a great song. Cant wait for the album.
Muffins
