Holy fckng shit, this dude literally summon a demon and record his angery screams. Lorna Shore is UNIQUE just for his Brutal beauty anger, so well complemented that orquestal and blastbeats, chugs and demonic voices
The extra emphasis they put on the snare hits during the lead up to a breakdown is what makes them so hard hitting. Austin is by far one of the better drummers in the scene when it comes to delivery and emphasis. Always seems to hit the right pattern to keep the song moving and flowing. Then the massive snare hits give you the needed pause/stop in the pattern to really lead you into the breakdown. Plus Will Ramos is an absolute monster, been routing for him to take on vocals for Lorna shore since Tom left.

I feel like a lot of people who aren't deathcore people are coming around to the genre now thanks to bands like this and Shadow of Intent. Deathcore has really matured beautifully in the last few years.
I hear people talkin bout the vocals, now i do agree that they sit a bit low in the mix, but i think it suits the vibe of the song, cant really explain it.
@@chrizszx Yes I remember Austin Archey talking about it when immortal dropped that he wished the vocals were pushed back a bit to bring out the instrumentals. I believe they pulled this off perfectly. 1st time listening through it I was kinda ehh with the mixing, now I fucking love it.
I love having Will as the new vocalist for Lorna Shore. He killed it on this song, and I really enjoyed his work for the band A Wake In Providence as well.
I think it sits perfect in the mix. Its like the vocals are being treated and mixed as one of the instruments instead of just vocals on top of the instruments. If that makes sense lol
The mix is great. It's just not the typical "vocals on front" mix, and I'm not the biggest fan of that style anyways. A lot of the time it pushes the instrumentals to the back - which happened on Immortal.
I've never actually listened to Lorna Shore but HOLY FUUUCK I saw the album art and had to check it out and I might have found the best metal song I've heard in a long time. So fucking brutal. I love the insanely high level of black metal aspects mixed with the deathcore breakdowns and such just makes it so brutal and really cinematic. I've got to listen to more of this.
This is my favorite song currently...that final 30-40 seconds gets me every damn time and i swear I've now heard this song at least 20-30 times, never gets old and i get goosebumps every time that last 30 seconds hits!!
I fucking love this song so much, but I personally hope they raise the vocals up a tiny bit in the mix for their future work. The instrumentals drown Will out a little too much, but other than that I have no complaints.
naw i think the vocals are perfect for the black metal influences they’re going for and the drums and guitars are the best part of this band so def needs to be prominent
Fuckin' who needs CJ? I mean, admittedly, I wasn't sure Will could do the songs from Immortal justice, but clearly he'll do just fine. As you said though, it's Lorna that's so unique, not just one person.
For those saying the vocals sit low in the mix, I think it was intentional to literally give the song depth. As if you're staring down the portal to Hell. There's a slight reverb there as well to help that effect.
