No work visa in Azerbaijan. It's only attainable for Russians (USSR).there is no work visa for Indian, Pakistani,Nepali,Bengali etc...! Be aware of scammers!!!

Best way is to first convert the Indian rupees into USD from any local agency of your city. Then after landing in Baku convert the USD into Manat from the local shops. Avoid converting currencies from airport.

Another bigger scam, in the Old town Baku the shopkeepers give fake notes in exchange of your bigger note. Avoid shopping from smaller shops.

You can't convert INR other than any GCC countries .. nobody will take INR ..euro/USD only !

My friend had got bad experiences in Azerbaijan since he was travelling solo.
No, not at all. Locals were nice to us and very helpful. But yes there were language issues. We used google translator.
