Please, bring it! As a 62 year-old Black woman and educator, I was impressed by NLU on so many levels. I taught ententre for a week. Shocked that I used NLU in a lesson, my students would not let go! They identified this part of language in their daily speech. They went on to compare and contrast poetry of Biggie Smalls and Edgar Alan Poe. I've been enlightened by my students.

Keep in mind this goes back to the era when the Nation of Islam, Afrocentrics and Public Enemy were dominant in the culture along with conscious rap (late 80s and early 90s) who all talked about these things. So the point is, those today trying to claim they didn't know or understand as an excuse for how things turned out are just lying. Tupac knew exactly what he was doing when he created THUG life and he explained and laid it out in numerous speeches, some of which are on youtube. Kendrick has never been that kind of guy who actually goes out and gives speeches about his philosophy about his role and impact on the culture.
