Lauda drives the car of the italian citizens. - Кино
The two Italians are the absolute funniest... walked right past a woman to greet Lauda hahaha.
They really spilled their spaghetti for Lauda lol
Italians. Two adult guys who drive their grandmother's car (that car...), always laugh, hug people, overall so "coloured" and a bit foul. A good cartoon.
Love it
At least they greeted her :D
It wasn't "Lauda", it was "Niki-Lauda, Niki-Lauda, Niki-Lauda" ... eeeeeeh, capito ?
Car gained at least 200 more hp when it realized Niki Lauda was driving it
I too was thinking in a Chuck Norris meme format
It was an old and battered car, with 4 persons in it, no way it could have been that agile.
@@phaenius #justalfaromeothings
lmao
@@phaenius The car has 113 or 127 hp depending of the version, the less powerful one a 0-100 km/h of 11 seconds, you can actually go fast if you use the max power non stop. You probably dont even have a drivers licence lmao
If this had been Fast and Furious, Niki would have switched gears 9 times, then jumped off a broken bridge to land on top of another car and finally somersaulted off his car to get into the other one.
However even in this movie if you floor the car down the hill and then downshift, you wont go faster, you'll just break the gearbox
Not switched gears - do not get F&F and many other movies where gears are slammed through the gate
@@viktorpetukhov727 he was low revs, downshifted, then floored it, that’s what you do lol. Ever heard “drop a gear and disappear”?
Also, when answering why he should do this, her answer would’ve been:”because we can become a family”
and at the end he would say: "i am doing this for my family"
One of the best lines in Rush, after a win Niki says "now do you believe I'm a racing driver"! RIP Niki Lauda (a man amongst men)
A mensch among men
Allah rahmet eylesin. RIP Niki Lauda.

actually the Italian guy with mustaches says : no one will believe that Niki lauda is driving my grandmother's car! 😂😂
I knew I heard a "nonna" in there. 🙂👍
HIs grandmother must have really been something..because the weaker of the 2 engine variants had 85kW which is more than enough for a grandma :D
@@heasven1 la maquina de la mia nona, I speak spanish, so I could get grasp of that
@@rodneymunoz5166 Me too. From what I understood from my Spanish was, "Niki Lauda esta portando la maquina della mia nonna"
I don't speak Italian, so im pretty sure i butchered how it's written in Italian. 😅
@@heasven1 your italian is far better than mine jajaja. Kudos to you!
"It's piece of shit, it's dog's shit" LOL.
These guys acted like fangirls, love them!
@National Socialism should be loved by anyone who likes F1 ,a legend
Wouldn't you in their place?
Well obviously not since Nikki Lauda's ass judged the car to be in a sufficient shape to run wild.
The 2 Italians make this scene and capture the insane passion of the tifosi. Love it!
I love the way they say "he just asigning with Ferrari." my favourite part of the film
Nobody can bring hype like 2 young Italian men
lol young? shitalians look old and very gay😂 german girls are better
@@notgadot in what universe british cars are better? Ferrari and Alfa Romeo are pure LEGENDS.
English cars are the best. And noone wants to learn italian😂🖕.
The editing in this scene is phenomenal. Instead of an external scene of the car suddenly accelerating with fake tire noises, you are inside the car as Lauda transforms from mild guy to animal, dominating the car and making it do what he wants. You feel the nervous exhilaration of the female passenger and pure joy of the Italian guys in the back. And don't we wish we could all feel joy and happiness without being self-conscious as these guys do? Great movie, insanely great editing. Lauda was a great driver.
Movie was excellent work
This scene is really thrilling, great vibes and dramatic change of style from gentleman to Ace
There are those who get old and those who remain young. It's not embarrassing to express your emotions, it's embarrassing to teach you how to become dried salmon.
Indeed CVN65, a very insightful breakdown of this scene, couldn't have said it any better!!!
Don't disagree, but I suspect most of this would be missed by people who don't get the thrill from speed that I, and obviously you, get.
One of my favorite scenes. I would imagine how Marlene would tell her kids and grandkids how she met their father/grandfather. Overall I miss the legendary Niki Lauda. RIP.
Well this scene isn't accurate. They added it just for little spice
Sorry, but like many scenes in that movie, it never happened. Lauda was consultant to Rush, and he re-wrote history, like the fact that he was engaged to another woman when he met Marlene, and years later he had another affair and an illegitimate son in 1991 , when she divorced him.
@@truantray I very highly doubt HE re-wrote history, seeing as that meant he making out his great friend, who had since died, was a twat, when nothing he ever said before or after implies he thought that about Hunt, in fact he only ever said nice things about him
@@truantray if you want accurate, watch a documentary
If you haven't worked out that the movie business is theatre yet ................................
These two are the biggest hype men ever!
They are tifosi.
Great wingmen too - they basically got him laid!
Imagine you come a cross Rai, Alo, Msc, Vettel like this.
Just signed for Ferrari
I need two joyful Italian hype-men all the time
I think Daniel Brühl is great in everything does. But in this as Niki Lauda he was simply amazing. It must have come with particular pressures, taking on that role. But he did the job of jobs with this performance. Possibly my favourite performance I’ve ever seen. And even though I’m a motor racing fanatic, I don’t even like the movie that much. Olivia Wilde was great too.
As a motorsports fan, I honestly absolutely loved the movie. It's one of my favourites
Agreed
She isn't Olivia wilde
@@alessandrobaccichetto856 Olivia Wilde play Hunt's wife
Absolutely agree with you, but no mention of Hemsworth? His performance as Hunt was masterful. He was the counterpoint to Lauda. Without him this is just another good, but under-rated film on racing automobiles.
This was the best scene in the movie
this was one of the best scenes in cinema history
The rest of the movie is great too
Haven't seen this movie which I'm realizing was a mistake, but yeah that's one of the best scenes I've seen in any movie in a couple years.
The second-best scene. The best scene was James Hunt beating the shit out of that nosey reporter who disrespected Lauda after his horrific accident.
@@upandaljm Go watch it. It's worth it and really captures the atmosphere of 70s Formula One.
It's so cool that they used a Lancia 2000 for this scene!!
A wonderful car!!!
And bouncing off the rev limiter at 6,500 rpm. lol
@@CaptVII isn't it supposed to sound like a beetle engine only louder?
This is close to what it should sound like, ok this is i.e. and it's water cooled so not exactly like an amplified beetle. ruclips.net/video/7D48pTaWayo/видео.html
Those Italian blokes knows how to live, and what gives you the best spice for a life full of fun and memories...
This was an awesome movie, in part between it respected both rivals, and didn't try to pretend that one was good and the other bad.
So true. It masterfully portrayed the hardcore rivalry in a competitive environment but also showcased the respect both drivers had for one another.
exactly! it wasn't "us versus them" it was about how rivalry pushed both men to do their best. Anyone who is a star at what they do, understands this movie. It's easy to sit on the couch, it's easy to rest on your laurels, we are measured by the level of our competition.
I think that great movies about rivals are quite often about respect
Absolute best F1 movie of all time.
What this a movie tittle
@@rediirmanto3411 “Rush”
which isn't saying much cuz there's like, what, 2-3 F1 movies out there? Grand Prix from the sixties, this one, and what else? Still a phenomenal movie in its own right.
Made for remembering James Hunt
She thought the car stopped for her, lol.
The part of this scene right before this actually has her saying, "Let me do this. Otherwise we'll never get out of here. We're in Italy, after all." Oh, the irony!
NESherv What's also ironic is that Ferrari is Italian.
when he downshifted and was full throttle she came in her pants
I would
Her hair style reminds me of jane Seymour in the film with Superman. I forgot which movie.
Those two Italians….just too good.
Classic
2 Italians who can't speak Italian...
This scene is just perfect
You can feel what those two Italian guys were feeling even though your just watching it on the screen
And this is what good cinematography is all about in my opinion!
For some period of time we forget that we're seating in front of a screen and instead we're feeling like part of the story and it's absolutely wodnerful!
Agreed that sometimes the movie is about a cause or someone with tragic history and we don't actually want that, but a lot of movies are about exciting things, people who were intelligent, brave, creative and the stories about them can have moments just like this one! It's absolutely magical that there are people who can create such scenes/movies.
hemsworth made this film worth watching. Tribute for the king james hunt.
hooligans are way better and the leaders. Plus nobody wants to speak azurri language
I really like the way Italian citizens got excited after they know guys is Niki Lauda
Perhaps because he drove for Ferrari
this scene is very close to reality
in Italy, Ferrari's drivers are honored like gladiators
especially those of German tongue (VonTrips, Lauda, Schumacher)
When someone become very bold on drive, we usually saying who do you think you are? Schumacher ?? In the 70's was the same with Lauda. The difference between the two, is that Lauda was really loved by the italians and Schumacher really wasn't. Schumi was greatly respected by us with the greatest gratitude possible.... but not loved. On the contrary Alain Prost and Jean Alesi were loved too like Lauda.....
Daniel Brühl is fantastic. He was hanging out with Niki Lauda for weeks. Learn everything about the legend. I really believed that Daniel was Niki in this great movie. He is one of the best actors today-no discussion. And this scene was amazing-editing was really great here
Chris Hemsworth too. He got james Hunt attitude
It never fails that women will make you do some stupid shit.
You are so right! Men kill themselves for their women all the time. Their power over men is awesome.
Love his exited, admiring expression at the end when he looks at her. It seems like he fell in love with her smile at this moment :)
+buxxi90 Yep agreed! and it looks like she fell in love with him and his skills at that moment too!
you sure are a romantic. :p Not that Niki wasn't just trying to get laid like everybody other man on earth. Impress= Sex
Not a seatbelt in sight. Gotta love the 70’s 😃
Ha. I can still remember the novelty when my parents bought a car in the mid-70's and there were rear lap belts in it. Blue two-door Nova, used, with fake vinyl roof that started to peel off a few years later. Total POS.
Seatbelts were an OPTIONAL in cars here in Italy until the early '90s, in fact if I'm not wrong they were not mandatory till 1994.
I am old enough to have followed the events of this movie when they first happened. RIP Nicki Lauda; RIP James Hunt. A different far more dangerous era, but I think the drivers respected each other more, and respected the inherent dangers of motorsport more as well.
And it was exciting.
What is name of the lady?
@@Salman-sc8gr Mrs. Lauda 😊
@@Salman-sc8gr Not Nicki Lauda
the Lancia 2000 sedan was not the car of his grandmother . Equipped with a 2000 cc boxer engine from 115 hp and front-whell drive (Subaru diagram)and a powerful low-end torque on the montain roads had few rivals in those days almost all rear-whell drive and higher center of gravity. The car it was a wery rare and engine noise in the film is real and typical boxer sound!
unwindout Wow. I'm 13 years old and I LOVED this movie!
fufast agno The car on the movie is a "injection" version, with 126hp made after 1972 and more fast, almost 190km/h how was on test on AutocarUk in 1972. BTW Agree in all... his low center of gravity of boxer and front wheel made this car great on route
@@Top100Guitarist Yeah these were no slouches back in the day.
The reason their heads get tossed back is because 126hp, back then, were pretty much the same to them as 400hp is to us now.
@@ToreDL87 : Absolutely. Cars were much smaller and a hell of a lot lighter back then (although far less safe).
@@timonsolus the original VW GTI never needed more than his 110HP with its 800kg curb weight. It took VW alnost 35 years and 4 generations of the Golf to get back to this kind of power/weight ratio.
Lauda was a game changing driver. F1 cars were squeezed for every micro second because of Laura's obsessive drive to re- engineer his car
@@robbiddlecombe8392 and stirling moss. British drivers are the best.

Shifting the gears around 2:01 is the coolest thing I saw in a movie
Why do people think driving fast is about shifting gears? Hollywood uses this trope all the time. Hero is in second place, oh wait, he shifts gears and suddenly gains huge speed! Not racing.
@@truantray He downshifted and floored it to accelerate hard. What would you do differently?
@@magsteel9891 Upshift and listen to your engine lug? 😉
granny shifting, not double clutching like you should

This is Tifosi's passion at display
No doubt
One of the coolest scene you'll see. The way they just blue past her for Nikki was aesome. BUbble burst, but then she handled it so we, Bewilderment not resentment and loved it when she found out the reason why, not his name, but that he could indeed drive.
The greatest sean from one of the greatest movies. RIP Niki Lauda. And the cars they were racing didn't have the safety gear they have today. Thank you.
Scene*
I was a big fan of Lauda back in the day and Bruhl is a terrific actor, want to see this!
There are so many thing that i love about this movie. If you think is filmed from the loser perspective (Lauda) instead of the winner...This make a deep difference along all the story while the main protagonist sort out that there is still a win in a lost. And then i love how he don't immediately fall down at her feet after her demand, instead he switch language to german underlining how he's become serious and ask her "do you always get what you want?". Then he give her what's she request and you can see how much surprise she was. The skilled hawk hide its claws someone say.
How was Lauda the loser? Hunt never won again, Lauda won in 1977 and 1983, Hunt ended up a broke drunk until his death.
@@truantray Pretty sure it was 84 but anyway...
@@truantrayi know, you know.... but the movie portray Lauda as the looser, only on final note they said "ok you win 1, i win 1, let's do it again the next year".

A master class in understanding women and relationships. 10 minutes ago she wasn't even looking his way, despite being in the same car less than 3 feet away. Now that she realized that he is famous and probably rich or with possibilities, the whole dynamic and her demeanor change at once.
Thats how it is Bill. That and if u have a BIG COCK.

Let us appreciate though that, if Lauda as depicted by Bruhl weren't a driver and just the guy as he'd been on the date up til that point, who WOULD want to date him? A humorless killjoy who just nitpicks things and keeps the day on an anal retentive schedule. It's only in this scene that this personality is vindicated as the valuable obsessiveness of a genius. Lotta fellas like this Lauda depiction who are all killjoy and no genius.
@@magicblanket2414 Magic, you missed my whole point. The point I'm making is that he is not even seen by the lady next to him until others point out that he is famous and rich.
Best scene of the movie.
Also, I've been taking German and Italian for about a year now (planning a trip back there soon). I forgot they spoke it in this film. So, my mind automatically started translating their words and I actually understood some of it.
