I have Cars on the Wii and I still have it in my closet. As a kid I genuinely enjoyed exploring the "open world" as Lightning McQueen. I remember putting the in-game radio on blast, repeating the same song "Free Ride" by Edgar Winter Group while traversing the land without even engaging in any other story mode activities or challenges. It was just me, my Wii remote, and my CRT TV displaying the world of Cars.
Funny you talk about Shrek right after the Wii. The entire reason I got my Wii back when they were always sold out on release was because I went to a Gamestop to return a Shrek Mario Party clone that I had bought earlier that day because it was so bad. I overheard one of the employees saying his buddy couldn't buy one they were holding for him and I ended up getting it lol
