I’m just off a Cunard cruise where I got lessons on watercolour painting. Like you I have a busy mind and it amazed me how fast time goes while you are completely focussed. So glad you love it too! Be sure to show us your creations from time to time x
I started watercolor during Covid and it really is like a meditation! I still have so much to learn but have improved greatly and started doing my own sketching, line and wash watercolor. It is so much fun a freeing! Enjoy your journey!
I started watercolour painting a year ago and I found it perfect for distracting my mind off work (also a business owner) I signed up to Skillshare and have access to literally hundreds of short courses on watercolour and on many other skills too. Highly recommend as you can do this when and where you want. I watch along on my IPad. Welcome to the club!
Mopping up! I love it, very English. The sponge is for a variety of things including mottled effects, taking off extra water or wetting the page for doing gradations or even backgrounds. I've had the same 3 sponges for 30 years. The Windsor and Newton Cotman range is inexpensive and very good quality and perfect for beginners.
Oh gosh that’s really lovely. Windsor and Newton are lovely, which I have, you will need extras white , which you can buy extra singles . I paint wildflowers and Countryside scenes , taught by my Grandmother, it’s escapism as you say .
Omg you did not just say WATERCOLOURS!! 😂 I always felt such a connection with you Trinny that I cant even put in words. Everything you do and say resonates with me on such a deep level. Later I found out we have birthdays on the same day. I got into watercolours a couple of months ago and now I see this video 😂 I just love you!🥰
Indeed, we’re siblings from different mommies & decades. You had to love painting to do what you do, hehehe.. that’s sealed it for me🥰 I too used to dress ppl as a little kid, was picky on clothing and love to draw since I can remember and paint since I was allowed to use paint.. a life without art is considered to be a life not fullt lived, neither was a day a full day without at least one full laughter😂😂 Welcome back to your aquarels and may you keep at it, it is way better than «meditation». Ciao💖
I started doing art at age 50 because I needed illustrations for children's books I'd written, so I'm talking about mostly the black ink drawings you see illustrating children's novels like the Famous Five/whatever. And I've always wanted a proper art collection on my walls so I decided to paint my own. So I bought old dipping pens on eBay and I'm actually OK at ink sketching. Then I bought lots of acrylic paint thinking I'd learn to do "oil painting" except in acrylic. The weirdest thing happened and I found myself using acrylic paint and ink in a watercolour/gouache kind of style. There's nothing I love more than washing water all over my black drawings and then drizzling colour all over them. People look at my art and they're convinced it's real watercolours but it's all 100% acrylic!
I'm very excited for you. Great start in a new passion. Trinny, is there a best length for skirts? Is it midway on the calf or nearer the ankle?? Thanks in advance. Fay ☘️ Australia 🇦🇺
I found my self a rad irritated with this reel. I kept wanting to see more of the paraphernalia! Trinny it would've been nicer to see it on a surface instead of you lifting it up for a second or so
