I grew up in Illinois (1972-96) and I never heard about these mounds until 2020. I live in the old west now. If I’m ever back in Illinois territory, I’m gonna try to check out them.

The common theory is that they were first built around 900 AD

MONK'S MOUND actually is IN EAST ST. LOUIS (in Illinois). Monk's Mound is in the NORTH. Cahokia is in the south. Archaeologists and historians need to tell the truth about the MONK'S MOUND Mississippi Mound Builder's site which actually IS IN EAST ST. LOUIS.

total height when compared to the tallest things man has made, sure, not that tall. But please, go there if you can. Standing next to that thing was insane. It takes a lot of energy to reach the top.

Are you a child? This thing was built over 1000 years ago, LONG before modern engineering had found its way into North America. The video doesn’t mention it but there was a large wooden structure on the top as well. It’s extremely significant historically

@@goddessinspiration33tv62 are you telling me that all things that have occurred historically have been done by blacks or by natives to their own lands? I’m curious. Mankind started from one color of people. Shot out across the world and evolution changed colors. If your claiming that just people of color since it’s ok to be racist against whites now, I’d like an explanation on your theory.
