@@MB-tj7xh then you should check the map again, maybe you mentioned Qing Dynasty map? Gobi is in the East Gobi province, Middle Gobi province, South Gobi province, Altay Province(they are all in Outter Mongolia), only a small area gobi around Erenhot is in chinese territory. Inner Mongolia is called the Mongolia, South of Gobi, they are not Gobi.
