    The northern part of the country does not think in that direction to industrialize the north all they are concern about is how to introduce Sharia law in the constitution..

      @nelsoncis6887 They can make a lot of money from finish products one example cow intestine is use to produce guiter string, but in our country we eat everything, not to mention cow skin.

    VAT is paid on alcohol but the north ban alcohol but enjoys VAT on alcohol from other regions. Hypocrisy.

    I just pray this Bill come to reality. I commend Mr president for this wise decision. No food for the lazy man therefore every hand must be on deck

    Mr Iwundu is getting it right. it is not the responsibility of the federal government to collect taxes for the states.

    Then the South South should get 60% of the oil proceeds, this should not apply to VAT alone

    Northern Nigeria is always the problem the reason Nigeria is not making progress not moving forward. They want to owned oil blocks in the South. NO thinking no innovation No competition..

    there is no reason to include sales tax in VAT. Reduce VAT rate and then let each state collect sales tax to whatever is consumed in their state. Federal government should not be collecting sales tax on behalf of the states

    PERSONAL TAX, why States in Nigeria are unable to collect personal tax is because these states have no respect for the individual. If you respect me then you can approach me to ask to pay personal tax.
