  • Throughout the years Ive been driving this #FordRanger it was either horribly slow or boosted and turned all the way down. This week I made upgrades to the fuel system and hopefully fixed a few issues with boost. We should be ready to head to the drag strip pretty soon after this.

Ayyyyeee there he is!!! I work at a shop and a lady came in with her new to her 91 ranger and said it doesn't get up to speed quickly... I told drove it and told her...."it's a 2.3, it's gonna be slow

😆😂 even if it had a turbo I'd still say that same thing.

I need to tell the story about the day I had had enough and the ranger finally got a turbo.

@@2300gearjammer that's about where I'm at on my Daily ranger, enough of the slow... It's got Pimpx 100gph e85 pump, efans, shimmed the hlas, ported intake, no maf and it's still a turd although a lot more torquey now, so with another dp 2.3 engine and some svo pistons , e6 manifold, factory Garret(svo) and stinger down pipe that may be moving to a engine stand in the near future...

😭 I can assure you I was devastated. 😂 It wasn't until about 1am that I decided I would pull the bed off. I didn't want to touch it because I figured bolt would break. I ended up having to torch a few to knock it loose. Amazing the stupid stuff that doesn't end up on camera.

Add a second turbo in combination/sequence using a torqamp or a sledgehammer electric turbo to remove lag

found your channel looking to find mods i could do to my 94 ranger 2.3 m5r1. Ive had a few 2.3s in couriers, mustangs ect. The motor has always been fun but always seemed like there is more i could do to it to get more out of it. But i seem to end up selling them as soon as i give someone a ride in it(truck car what ever.). hanging on to this ranger. use it so i can keep the miles of seattle area traffic off my weekend warrior f350 dually. Would like to see more on the build of the ranger. I do like the mustang but not much of daily driver. Keep up the good work. THANX

Please help I need content about a svo t5 swap into my automatic 97 ranger. What fly wheel and harmonic balancer do I use? Stock svo flywheel for the t5? Or do I have to use a manual ranger flywheel and possibly have to modify it? Rock auto has specs online but no specific weight and the two are supposedly different by small amounts. If I mess this up the build will be destroyed from what I understand. Please help!

I have a return style fuel rail for around 94-96 and the diameter on the pressure side hose where I attached a huge fragile -8 fitting is less than a 1/4. I hogged it out a bit but it just seemed like a real choke point compared to some other ford fuel lines (5.0 and super coupe 3.8 namely) any fuel rail suggestions for 98 2.5. Thanks for the content!

Aw man and the whole video I thought that clean fuel was the joke 😂🤣 but I put clean fuel and sugar in my tank, was told that sugar completely stops detonation and it has , just can't get it to start for some reason but im sure that its something simple, but I no longer hear any detonation and that is the important thing because it could ruin your engine 😝🙊🤦‍♂️

@@2300gearjammer man that's a bummer because as u know it works very well, and it will have ya fixed up in no time 😂 But if I run in to ya at the track Ill share some of mine with ya because I have plenty of it and until I get this bug worked out i wont be needing any because I filled my tank up and only put 10lbs of sugar in there and that tank will last me a long time. See with these fuel prices up you just about gotta put sugar in everything that you drive because it also helps your fuel mileage and you won't need another fill up for a long time.
