This was made even more popular in the Cleveland area by TV horror host Ghoulardi who usually played a polka whenever he mentioned the name "PARMA" during his Shock Theater program. Parma was a predominantly Polish and Eastern European suburb west of Cleveland. Since 1963, most Ghoulardi, Big Chuck, Hoolihan and Li'l John fans still associate Parma with white socks, pink flamingos in the front yard, and polkas!
