I use eSIM on my Surface Pro 7+ LTE with Telenor, a provider here in Sweden. Works GREAT and setup was a breeze! From their website they had a link to convert your data SIM to eSIM by scanning a QR code or copy/paste a code into the Windows settings. One thing I noted was there were 2 kinds of codes. One for iOS and one for Android. Copy the Android code into Windows settings. Operator profile is added. then just activate it to use it. My operator did not appear at all in the Mobile Plans app, but was easy enough to add anyway.
@@oztabletpc hi I really like your Surface Tips, can I ask you something, how is the Battery Life on Surface Pro 5 if I don't use the LTE Sim ? Will I get battery life similar to Surface Pro 5 non-Lte variants?
Finally some straight forward advice! :-) I couldn’t find anything on the Telstra web site, thanks!

Nice. Had no idea the LTE version had e sim as well. Any other surface products have this?
No, the Surface Go has an LTE version, but no eSIM for that one.
Surface pro 5 2017 is the only one with lte
@@ahmedshams390 Surface Go also has an LTE version. Uses a regular nano SIM card though. No eSIM.
What happens if your carier not listed
You can enter details via a QR code or SIM ID manually.
Does anyone know if the surface pro 6 can hold a sim?
No, there is no LTE / SIM option in the Surface Pro 6. You can still buy the Surface Pro 5 LTE model which has both an eSIM and a physical SIM slot.
