There is a flaw with the Windy 9, you missed Pomeroy entirely. Pomeroy is a beautiful little river town built between the rock cliffs and the river bank. There are some nice places to eat there, Fox's Pizza Den offers a grand view of the Ohio River and the local McDoanlds even built a shelter house right on the river bank for bikers to gather and enjoy the company of other bikers. If you really want to ride next to the Ohio River go to Pomeroy where there is a nice large parking lot bewtween the downtown stores and the river, a gorgeuis spot, bring your camera. Then follow St Rt 124 up stream through Racine, Portland, Long Bottom, Reedsville, and Hockingport. It will be ride you will love and never forget. Then you can take Rt 144 back out to Rt7. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.
We started the route near Albany where we ran 10-143 then took that too rocks prints rd County rd 33a and Pomeroy rd. As the map shows. There is no flaw other than I didn't run it from Athens down, I ran it and left out the section of 50 between Athens and Albany. We ran quite a few of the Windy 9 that day, and did so according to the map that you can get from windy9.com
@@RoadGlideAndy But you missed Pomeroy altogether. There is you tube video from Buckeye Drones that shows the beauty of Pomeroy and how it sits between the rock cliffs and the river. If you check it out you see what I'm talking about.
