Your first 1 second is where i found out that my teeth were misaligned and the discs would need to be forced past the diameter of the disc then they would feed through. same with ejecting the disc it would get stuck and need to be forced past the diameter. Thanks tons for your video man.
I appreciate the video. Had an issue with the disc drive as well. I just looked at your video and compared alignment, tinkered with it and fixed it. Thank you sir
So happy I stumbled across this video. I didn't have the same issue, I had other pieces that were misaligned. Your video showed me how things should look with a properly functioning drive. I was able to troubleshoot the issue and get it resolved.
Those often wear out or get thin. Thing is you fix them once they screw up again. Plastic components become warped or or play develops in them and then it ends up popping out again. Best bet is get a new drive. Eventually the motor gets sluggish as well and the toothed belts get stretched, which can cause untimed issues and the slide gears to ride over each other when they get jammed. If making temporary repairs use dielectric grease so components slide easier
Hi, can any help me. I'm working on my Xbox one drive, I've taking my drive apart, the stem part with the spring came off, where do I connect the spring to.
Hey man so I am having a problem with my disk drive on my Xbox one S. The Disk doesn’t get pulled in. I would really appreciate it if you could help me:))
Fishing With Alex hmmm not sure but sounds like possibly the motor that takes the cd in isnt working or malfunctioning for some reason, have you looked to see if someone has a posted a video on the problem your xbox is having?
@@acamaroman87 thank you for answering that. I just finished taking my son's xbox one s and found that the reason his disc drive wasn't working was because the white plastic with the hook on it (3:08 into your video ) had the hook part broke off causing it not to engage with the black plastic piece and the black piece was touching the disc and not allowing the disc to spin. So I have the part number and hopefully I can find the white piece I need. Thanks for making this video it helped me figure out what was wrong with my son's xbox.
Hi, i'm having a similar issue apart from my disc doesn't get stuck, I can just hear a slight grinding noice sometimes and the disc doesn't spin up. I've stripped my xbox and disc drive down an inserted the disc without the housing and it all seems to work fine after testing multiple times. I presumed the issue had been resolved and it may have just been a bit of dust caught up in the mechanism. Ive put the housing back on the disc drive and the covers back on the xbox and tested an the disc is no longer spinning up. Do you think it could be a potential issue with part of the mechanism catching on the housing? Or even the sensor not picking up the disc correctly when the covers on? Any help would be appreciated.
Just wanted to post my fix. I ended up cutting the entire top off the cage, leaving just the outer perimeter for regidity and mounting (4x screws, back placement pin). It works now. Something must have been rubbing but I didn't feel like troubleshooting beyond that.
Thank you! 3 years later and you helped me fix my mechanical problem. I super glued on of the gears that your video helped me find!
