I’ve actually also replaced my Xbox One disc drive too. Be wary that the replacements can fail too. My replaced disc drive is failing after only a few months after being replaced. These consoles are getting old and it will become harder and harder to maintain them
Thanks for watching! They can be found on EBay or Amazon. Search for "X Clamp removal tool". That said, they are not required, using a small flat head screwdriver from the top like I did in the video to pop the clamp off of the posts will do the job just takes a bit more work without the tool.
i tried taking apart my xbox one that i had to replace with an xbox series s, and it no longer reads a disc, nor takes a disc in, the disc drive no longer works, neither does the power button, i wish i could send you in mine so you could repair it but i dont have the money to get it addressed nor the money to pay you to fix it
Looking on Amazon, some listings do show both part numbers. That said, I would read through the listing (Amazon, EBay etc) and be sure your part number is included or even reach out to the seller in advance. Hope this helps!
Can you not just by a whole new disc replacement with the mother board inside it ? Is that not what you did? Why replace it with the old one or replace the old one with the new one when you had a new one to begin with?
I've replaced my disc laser in which it work for Blu-ray and not for videogames as well as having scratches after inserting the disc would you recommend swapping the disc drive or what could be the issue?

You should do this with more consoles like ps4 switch and stuff it helps alot of repair/refurb people

I followed your instructions, and my new disc drive starts to download but stops. Any idea why this would happen? New drive and game but stops at 6%.

The board in the disc drive is paired to the xbox main board, it has to be swapped out.
