Hey guys, back with another Borderlands 2 countdown video for you guys and today I wanted to go over 10 of what I think are some of the best quest or mission reward weapons in Borderlands 2. I would say all of these weapons are really good for high level play with about 8 of them being great regardless of playthrough.

Recently bought the handsome collection on PS4 just to play 4 player co-op splitscreen with my friends.. (This is now my 3rd playthrough of BL2 cause i also owned it on PC)
So is it worth it? HELL YEA IT IS! even when playing solo again :D

@@Doobysco0fr those games were so bad and did not follow borderlands 1 2 and the pre sequels story they said “war is coming you will need all the vault hunters you can get” and they gave us that stupid ass bl3 story that made really little sense and the characters just seems dull and boring compared to the others
@@jacesimmons63741000% agree with you on how the story is trash I hate the main story as well. But the gameplay of BL3 is possibly the best of the series it flows with the combat going from sliding to your action skill is flawless. The gun play was smooth as it can be no gun felt clunky and in the way, unlike BL2, I hate that in BL3 legendary ranked items drop so often especially if you have the schlooter artifact equipped it’s ridiculous. But the game itself is really fun to play the DLC of BL3 is fun to play has fun boss fights and make up for the SHIT story they had. BL3 is not best of the series but the hate it gets is worthy but the game gave us a lot to happy about as Fans. Just my Opinion tho 👍
the real reason flame of the firehawk is so good on krieg is that he can set himself on fire whichmakes his shield unable to recharge
So imagine my distress when on my first playthrough of BL2 I accidentally mailed the package to Hyperion, receiving the Tidal Wave instead of the Lady Fist.

Just got borderlands 1-3 with dlc I’m stoked
2021 here! Doing my 5th actual full playthrough and using an Elemental/SMG Maya (solo only) build. I'm fuckibg loving it. & after only ever using a run & gun Axton as my character in all my BL2 playthroughs, I gotta say, using Maya almost feels like easy mode.
I purposefully keep my character 2-3 levels lower just to maintain some challenge.

Exactly that shotgun is one of the BEST rewards in the game!

That shotgun has helped me out of too many situations
i love the corrosive kitten, it outperforms the hornet for anti-armor duties in most of my playthroughs

Kitten and teapot are my go to corrosives for most characters though i'll also use a corrosive Deliverence at times.

I love the idea of the firehawk shield, but constant full screen bright flashes is an absolute no-go.
Glad to see the Kitten getting the appreciation it deserves.
The Fibber can also be extremly powerful, but with the right parts, hard to tell when it's good because of the fake stats.
but the fibber can split bullet in 8 pellets with round patern with 1 bullet at center when u do a ricochet on the ground at the right spot. this the best patern for a shotgun acept it's an hyperion pistol and the ricochet can be hard to use.
I loved this weapon, i do my first terramorphous kills with it, it works well
The fiber which have the lowest dmg without 1x have a crit bonus about 800%
Combo for the sand hawk:
Maya, Bee shield, Legendary Cat class mod, and if you have a corrosive sandhawk, use bone of the ancients to increase the corrode damage. And then finally, you want to use a glitch called the infection glitch.
I would put the Pimpernel above the Sandhawk personally. The Sandhawk is good at this very specific 1 thing, while the Pimpernel is way more versatile. Are you going to shoot Terra with a pimp? Maybe not, but in every other situation the Pimpernel is way more useful.

After all this years i still cant get enough of Borderlands, need a the 3rd one soon (or not, i can wait a couple of years more to have a well developed game as Borderlands 2 is)
thanks puma your borderlands tutorials always come in handy. im just now playing borderlands 2 on xb1 (i know i know) its 2017... the handsome jack collection was on sale 15.00 new, and i never really had to time to get into bl2 when i had an xb 360.

Just bought the borderlands handsome collection yesterday 10 bucks on ps store can't wait to play it.
Every clip of this dude on zero he goes down like 5 times and then remembers to use kunai with his moxxi guns lol
no love for the Jakobs Law? that's also one of the best pistols in the game (as far as quest rewards goes) and is 100% accurate when zoomed-in. not only that, but you can also pair this gun with the Order shield for melee builds (hence Law-and-Order)
I use it nearly every playthrough. On my most recent one I got 2...
And due to playing with other people, i skipped half the main quest in my first playthrough, and avoided getting it. Kinda ruined my first playthrough, but I never deleted that poor character. Just cuz it's so broken, yet still works.

When I first got the Hail I thought it was shit, now, its my primary when not using my Veruc. Seriously, the gun is INSANE even in PS3 where I can't even see what the hell I'm shooting at

so the Captain Scarlet dlc is probably the one to buy if you cant get anyothers

One additional thing that makes the Trespasser great is that it makes a BAchallenge easier. Eviscerated I think it is, which is killing a shielded enemy with a single sniper shot. Trespasser ignoring shields makes that easier, especially if you’re targeting a lower health but high shield enemy.

Liking seeing the Jolly Roger on this list, the gun is great and I can vouch for it being great with Zero.
What about the Heartbreaker?
I use it with a Slag Rubi/Grog Nozzle all the time, and it's an awesome shotgun.
I found The Tresspasser VERY useful against Handsome Jack.

Pimpernel not ranked as the best? Blasphemy! I swear I had a Slag Pimpernel from level 32 and that damn thing CARRIED me through Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. It's beautiful.
But hey, that's my opinion.
Jackie Kog sandhawk is actually the best weapon in the game for anyone that isnt a zerker, imo. it's awesome on sniper zero, elemental siren, gaige, awesome on sal, good on fire krieg, okay for axton but who cares about axton amirite
OmnipotentReaper I think the DPUH is slightly better because you dont turn completely harmless once your hit. But with the bee - yes - the SH is the strongest.
Jackie Kog I agree. Pimpernel should have been number one. It does great on all characters.

You still kept a level 32 Slag Pimpernel through Ultimate Vault Hunter?! Why not just complete the "Don't Copy that Floppy" mission in UVHM? You can reset your playthrough to farm for the Slag version! If you don't get it first try.
Since I have played through this game two times prior, I am just going to have trying out these weapons through the save editor.

Just introduced my wife to borderlands 2 via the handsome jack collection on ps4 and we're having a blast, and I've been using the shotgun you get from the mission where you put an AI into various robots/machines then eventually into a shield or gun, i love how quick it fires and it's larger magazine size as well as being one of the few shot guns I've found that only uses a single round per shot, but i just got a Jacob's shotgun that only gets one shot before reloading and uses 3 rounds per shot, but it's just so much stronger >.< I'm gonna miss my angry little robot buddy
If you hold him (His name is Potential Shotgun 1340) in another slot, His voicelines should still play sometimes. And I like him too.
So dumb question - can you save before accepting a quest reward, then reload to try to get a different version, if you didn't get the one you want?
you can on console but you have to dashbord instead of exit to re-roll what kind of weapon you get, anymore it's easier to just use a save editor if your looking for a very specific version of a quest reward, or broken loot pool weapon(Only one that falls into the second part though you can buy from torgue machines in his DLC which is the Unkempt Harold)
As a gunzerker , if you duel weird the trespasser, it affects both weapons on hand.

I wish there were multiple end game builds that were viable for each character. That's why I miss the level cap being 50, you could pretty much make any skill tree build viable but not that it's 72 and op levels it's basically one single build for each character, cause all the old builds don't work now. Kinda sad really, too bad they didn't implement a "stop leveling up" mechanic like dark souls so I can cap myself at level 50 and not gain any more experience

The Fibber is another Unique weapon reward That is pretty potent if you get the Correct Type of Fibber. As it too is another gun with Unlisted Pellets when you fire the gun and makes Incredible use of the Bee and for Gaige when at High Anarchy.
And Rubi is another Unique as it is basically a poor man's Grog Nozzle sans the drunk effect but able to be ANY element (Yet Slag is Preferred for some).
There are Some Uniques that also have Potential but due to the game's design it's unfortunately not as good as it could have been like the Morning Star having a "Short-lived" 20% Bonus Crit Damage on Critical kills which would have been AMAZING on Zer0 with Critical Ascension.
what if you had lady fist and the bee shield. I wonder how much damage it does?
I use that a lot on my play throughs before getting to 50. It one shots most enemies with a critical.
Fun fact about the #2 spot you can one hit most bigger bosses ( such as B-nker ) without the bee shield

MrMosbyOfficial VEVO I'm sure there are, but it seems like the Grog Nozzle is a staple in his arsenal to the point were I wonder if people considering him the best character is based just on that.
You can use a Ruby to get a close to same effect. Salvador is the best not just because of how durable he is, Hes the best in damage output as well. One thing he didn't mention about the pimpernel is when you have an Ahab with 0 ammo the pimpernel gets the damage of ahab added to its unlisted damage (Ahab has to be in the right hand)
This combo can break the visual damage barrier of 1 billion. The game can only display 9999k damage.
The drunk effect on grog is amazing but that's not the primary reason to use grog, The reason its used is a healing and a slag source, And rubi can do both of those. The grog is the best choice due to the drunken damage amp with DPUH but a slag rubi and DPUH can be used to almost the same effect. The 200% is just bonus as most of Sal's biggest hits comes from MS chains.
Because of how rough rider works healing/slag is what is the most important of the left hand weapon.
It's what i ended up suggesting for my friend who didn't own tiny tina's.
You should have mentions that the swordsplosion and its red text is a reference to Yoteslaya, bless that mans heart R.I.P.

Hey I have a question. If you had to limit your loadouts to weapons shields, mods etc ONLY MADE BY A SINGLE MANUFACTURER which would you choose?
i could do an all maliwan snider, antagonist, tranfusion, idk about relic and classmod would be iffy for zero
Tyrone the chef agree. maliwan is best for allegiance runs: norfleet, thunderball fists, grog nozzle, hellfire, pimp, legendary cat( I think)

I cant beleive I have to start over from scratch and play through everything over again just to get a Sandhawk and all other quest weapons that is higher level. I had no idea that I couldnt get these guns again so I did the most good quests at level 45-55. All these weapons are completely useless and sold off as im approaching level 72 now. It took me a month to do all 3 playthroughs and get to level 70. im on ps4, is there another way? I guess I have to start a new Mya and start all the way from NVHM?
I know its kinda late, but you can always reset your playthrough on UVHM. When selecting what mode you want, there is text at the bottom of the screen indicating what button you should press to reset given your platform.

the lady fist works best with zero and loads of his sniping skills cos you get up to 40% (or more) critical damage if you ads for like 2 secs and you get a few more crit bonuses from other skills plus the 800% and most boss battles can be done in minutes

I use the Trespasser on Handsome Jack at the end of the main story so I don't have to deal with his tactics after taking his shield down.

The weapons are unbalanced. The only weapons worth it are either legendary or unique.

Satchmo Yeah, but I shouldn't need unique or legendary to be able to kill enemies easily, and struggle with anything else. BL1 you can have a gun that's level 10 and be useful up to level 25. Weapon unbalances in BL2 is what hurts the game.
***** well a gun that's level 10 working until 25 is unbalanced in a loot based game you should need to constantly upgrade weapons
Satchmo I should be able to kill enemies in BL2 using green rarities without using exploits though.
While the Jolly Roger is good, the Hydra is great. I can get more projectiles per shot and it hits almost twice as hard per projectile. The bullet spread is also better on the Hydra so I can guarantee that more will fly where they are wanted. On Gaige, more projectiles is the ultimate selling point as more projectiles means a higher output for Close Enough. Honestly, I don't ever regret selling the Jolly Roger.

ive been using the rapier for so long that and the bane
Grog was a dropped weapon during loot hunt back in the day, I have it as a legit weapon that is not tied to any quests
Blurred trickster maya can rek with the Jolly Roger, there are better choices in shotguns for that build but if you can't find/get them, the Jolly Roger is really good
More than half of these are from the Pirate Booty dlc, The quest reward for the splinter cell quest . the Roksalt, IS an Amazing weapon for A anarchist build

No mention of Evil Smasher as at least an honorable mention, for ya know THAT INSANE GLITCH POWER
One thing I both love and hate is that the Bl2 content creators dont take dmg glitches in consideration, every sniper is a beast thanks to the morning star glitch and I feel like it should be on this list because of that, but it also shows that you dont really need glitches (or even BAR, cus they also dont use it very often) to kick some ass

I also loved the hyperion sniper that talks to you. Very high damage, shoots not too slow, nice reload speed^^
6:05 this one is awesome too, I skilled gaige for melee, got a raid-shield and killed everything ^^
12:22 Iove this weapon, I'm still using it on lvl 56, even though its just lvl 50. Together with the bee, this weapon is just great^^
Critical (Critikal) Jolly Roger is generally better due to it's tri-barrel. There is a in-depth post on the official forums that examines all barrels types for shotguns. The tri-barrel (Bandit Barrel) shotguns are better off with the tech 3 (Critical) accessory rather than the +pellet count (VerticalGrip) accessory..
First time I got the swordsplosion, it had the prefix that makes it have 3 swords and I've got through like 3/4 of UVHM with it
I recently bought borderlands 2 on pc cause I missed playing it on Xbox. I killed midgemong and got some torque weapon that shoots rockets and then they turn into grenades. This was useful till the warden boss fight. If your low level and want a good explosive weapon go farm midgemong
kerblaster is alright but personally the weapon that carries on low level is the bonus package from boom bewm

Its only me that likes the Fibber? This gun (besides being greatly random) is awesomely strong if used correctly.
