I think the Preator's Grasp should have grabbed Dockside if Gitrog wanted mana. Crypt is just such an odd grab... Didn't end up mattering but kinda crazy not getting it. Then again, permanent mana versus treasures could be an argument...
"I'm about to lose, should I play to my outs I believe I have even though it will cost me a lot of resources?" "NO!" says the man in the comments, "That's a spite play."
Did Death have a chance for priority after the pact trigger resolves? I thought he would have had to do it before mons decided to pay for pact or during William's turn.
the Pact was a bad move but Mons should have checked his list before activating the wishclaw, giving it away before dying was a really unnecessary play
Hello Mons. My question would be: Why did Pontus give Talisman to you and not William (sorry if I misspelled the name)? He had two cards in hand. Does Gitrog contain some kind of one card combo?
Yes. With wishclaw gitrog wins this match. maybe not on his turn he dosen't have the mana he needs but gitrog is more or less a 1 card combo commander.
Sweet line by Death. But did he illegally use Food Chain (creature only) mana to cast Grinding Station? Sorry if I just failed to follow along correctly. Nice showcase anyway and great game.
Because mons did not cast the Talisman, he was given it by an effect/ability. That means, it goes back to whoever controlled the permanent before it was given to mons EDIT: also because it was activated before mons died to the 0act trigger, so it wasn't under his control anymore
because I was sweating bullets to find the correct path - I also do not play naya normally like this was my first try in this color pair in cedh @@dreadgray78
Talking about the Pontus hate in the last video ... that was some spite play with the pact, whew, didn't see that coming. Even with Born upon a winds it would have been a brutal way out, taking naerly all chances to come back in the game with potential LED mana. The more games I see, the more it's sth personal between Mons and Pontus but being a little bit one sided ^^
It wasn't a spite play, in my opinion. Pontus was going for a win, and very likely would've found it. As Mons explained, he had multiple outs to the Pact or the Pact trigger (Rhystic draws, Wishclaw, getting the Pact countered). The question boils down to "is Pontus more likely to *not* find a winning line here than Mons is likely to find a solution to his own Pact" - and while it's very hard to accurately answer that question, a solid case can be made for Mons' best chance of winning/not losing the game is to cast the Pact.
Winning by chucking dino nuggets at everyone is something I did not expect to see
Well it is not a thassa finsiher.
Nobody Expects the Dino Nuggies
I can never get into non tabletop magic but love the decklists yall played
You should probably be on Crop Rotation> Emergence Zone in Pako Haldan if you want to run Born upon a Wind
I will add both.
I need to get an altar of heliod with Pontus’s teletubby sun head.
Do it and send him a picture of it :D
Great video Mons!
Thank you!
Poor Pontus 😢
First! - Also look at these handsome people!
I don't like that mons dude. His hair is to short.
You got time till Amsterdam to Grow it Back :D @@cedhtvgameplay3974

What a crazy line

Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?
That was fun, my initial build for Pantlaza is near the casual build where it's just trying to Finale everyone!
Ah king making at its best
Did Death have a chance for priority after the pact trigger resolves? I thought he would have had to do it before mons decided to pay for pact or during William's turn.
been a long time since i last saw my pet cedh deck, krark and sakashima? XD could it appear in a future video?
Pontus might like that one. He did play Krark and thrasios before.

Pretty sure wishclaw can only be activated on your turn
It was only activated on players own turns. On all 3 occasions.
True. But it wasn't used illegally in this game, as far as I can tell.
I really like your take on the temur doggo, but please cut the taplands (Sheltered Thicket and Triome). These hurt 😅
They are really good when you have to many lands and you need card draw.

Pantlaza trigger casted it for free I think
You already got the reply, Pantlaza casts it for me instead...
@@VeilofDeathMTG Dope. Well played!
@@DarknessChampion Yeah recasting Enlightened Tutor with Underworld Breach and then discovering the tutored cards with the commander was sweet
pontus shouldve played my sultai francisco list and he wouldve won lol. but solid game for sure
Why does the wishclaw talisman not leave with mons?
Because mons did not cast the Talisman, he was given it by an effect/ability. That means, it goes back to whoever controlled the permanent before it was given to mons
EDIT: also because it was activated before mons died to the 0act trigger, so it wasn't under his control anymore
Why do Naya decks always end up worse than mono green or mono red decks? What’s the point of adding colors if the deck gets worse?
*i realize the deck won but he complained about Naya as he was winning
because I was sweating bullets to find the correct path - I also do not play naya normally like this was my first try in this color pair in cedh @@dreadgray78
@@dreadgray78 I don't think it's complaining about Naya as compared to mono green, more like Naya compared to actual good colors
Death won one without black!?!?!
Its a Xmas Miracle :D

the pact seemed way to much of a spite play to me, with giving the guy who was clearly in the lead a wishclaw to kingmake him.
I did not consider naya to be in the lead. Thing is there is no correct answer to who I am giving the wishclaw to.
Spite pact boooo
That was the biggest spite-pact play i've ever seen.
Yet
Should have at least given back the Wishclaw to make up for it.
Pontus should have won this game.
Great game by Death nonetheless.
Technically the Wishclaw founds its way home :D eventually@@InmAncalagon
I really promiss. I did forgot to add born upon a win to the deck.
