I went to School with Richard Hills. We were at Kings Rochester together. He was a fantastic Organist then and only gets better and better. Great performance.
JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH WAS AN INSANELY FANTASTIC COMPOSER. BUT DAMN, JUST THE KYRIE ALONE, AND MAYBE ONLY THE KYRIE ALONE MAKES MONSIEUR LOUIS VIERNE A SUPER-GENIUS IN HIS OWN RIGHT. IMHO, SECOND ONLY TO JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH. WOWSERS. DAMN, I LOVE THIS KYRIE !!!!!!!!!!
It’s all the more interesting that Monsieur Vierne passed away during his 1750th recitals (1750 is ofc the year of J.S Bach’s death) right at Notre Dame’s organ console.

The choir sings very well, precise and with very good intonation. A plus over other recordings of the piece.
