That was a shocking list of 'top' bikes for 2018. Stick to cars Auto Trader.
Best cruiser (Harley) according to Auto Trader, no wind protection, not reliable, twice the price of every other bike and still behind all other manufacturers.

Harley fat bob is great bike. Lot of luxury features, fairly quick. Good bike overall.
Pretty sure Tuono, S1000R, and Super Duke are all better naked bikes than speed triple. Fz-10 can also arguably be better naked than speed triple(Missing some electronics but the bike is nuts).

Yes I have. In fact, I really like the bike. I just switched from my 15 ninja 1000 to a Tuono RR pretty recently so I have test rode few super naked bikes that inclues S1000r, Tuono RR, Speed Triple, and Fz-10.
Speed Triple is much much better than my old ninja but just not there when compared to a bike such as Tuono. Tuono somehow feels wilder than Speed Triple yet more refined.
If u listen to the wording mate they say Best "new" naked bike... well as far as i can tell its the only new naked bike this year lol, but i agree with you there is plenty better out there and in a group test it would be shown i think.
Good point! But I think that would be just misleading for viewers if that's what they mean without additional explanation since the title is "best bikes" not "best new bikes".
I agree. But my old VFR is more comfortable. And still does 160...

people can love and hate different bikes but I have been riding for 50 years and I can say we are spoilt with choice, no manufacturer makes a bad bike nowadays and they just keep getting better I just wish the back wasnt so bad so I could sample some of these beautiful machines. Adventure bike should have gone to the Africa Twin. The GS is a bit too heavy for proper offroad.
Even the Africa twin is too heavy for proper off roading. Can be done but a lot more tricky than a 600-700cc bike.
Speedlover most adventure bikes will spend 90 percent of their time on the road, this is where the GS is king.
The Goldwing is the best bike period. Its like the minivan of motorcycles

No reason to get upity just cause they didn't mention your bike. Most of what they said was true.

Beautifully executed video , good commentary. I don't agree with all the chosen bikes but that's not a problem , it would be a very boring world if the all riders rode the same bikes. Subscribed.
How is the 1200GS the best adventure bike? Unless adventure to you means sunday cruises to Starbucks. Its just too fat for the average person to take on trails. Even the Africa Twin or new BMW850GS is a better choice but is still damn heavy. Hopefully next year we will get propper adv bikes like Yamaha Tenere 700

I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder but to describe a Harley as beautiful is definitely an oxymoron.
Harley with a 114 cubic inch motor putting out what, 75 to 80 horsepower maybe? If you're going to suck up to an American Bike then, Indian with it's 111 cubic in motor puts out 109 horsepower and 120 lb ft of torque. I was with the factory Rep today and got the figures first hand for Indian. Harley? Seriously? Are they funding your show for the next year or something? They've "never" been the best cruiser, just the best when it comes to being overpriced and over-rated! Ugh...
Where's the Honda NC 750s/x best commuter???
They're awful cheap bikes. Fuel economy and storage is great, but suspension, looks and build quality lets it down. Better alternative bikes out there for the same price.

mines 6 and a half years old 67000 trouble free all year round adventure riding ,I couldn't agree more . Super easy to maintain too.

83000km on my NC700S, 2013 have proven beyond a doubt that those NC bikes are best bang for the buck. And mind you I live in Central America where road conditions are challenging. Also I don't baby my bike but I do however give them regular maintenance. Things like wheel bearings, rear shock absorber,steering stem bearing etc do wear out under those conditions but that is normal in comparison to the conditions. Just did a compression test and results show still near new results. If you are mature enough to be happy with a 50 horsepower bike the NC is a partner for life. Absolutely love it. Eleven bikes in 40 years the NC is the one that takes the cake 👍🏍

Lazy picking I'm sorry. Having 2 scooter categories with one being a confused overpriced mixclass a BMW 1200 and the GT900... Just saying, there were way better choices and more reasonable ones. Plus, if its "best bike" you need to consider explaining the criteria because on some you refer the price and on others you clearly didn't even factor it.
If you want features and toys go to Ann summers. Look at the size of these machines. Might as well buy a small car.
This is a spot to throw out names of all kinds of manufacturers and hopefully get some poor sod interested in something. Autotrader says here, "Just PLEASE buy something!"

Almost perfect video. Tenere is also an adventure bike. So you are still missing one bike to be crowned as The Best 2018 Sports Tourer. So? Is The Tenere or The 1200 The Best 2018 Adventure Bike then? Retro and Naked and Cafe Racer and Roadster and MIDDLEWEIGHT whatever that is are all to be considered as in the same category. They are all to be considered as Standard Motorcycle. Also you guys should at least two more categories. Dual Purpose. Maxi Scooter.
I road an sv650s throughout college never let me down with minimal maetenance. I ride an s1000rr but still consider the sv650s the best all around bike...Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is the way!

The fatbob is a great bike! However triumph and Indian have better alternatives at the moment without paying that insane Harley mark up price.

what about the kymco ak550? Taking the price into consideration I would say it is better than the honda mentioned in this video. My dad got the kymco and he was faster on it than a lot of people on tracer 900s on a race track, it has a great screen that connects to your phone and can show gps navigation. I am extremely impressed with it.
Keep dreaming that a 53 bph scooter will beat a 110 bhp bike on a track ;). Especially a GT model.
Versys 650, the best bike is the bike you can afford and enjoy driving.
Ive owned a 650. Good begginer bike. Try an FZ-07 though. Better all around.
The problem with all these professional reviews, is they only exist to get you to buy the bike. The differences between alot of the bikes are now very small. Why would a big manufacturer give out these test bikes, send people to expensive launches. They want to receive a positive review which in turn reflects in sales. If any of these sites said Suzuki were rubbish....how many bikes would come from Suzuki? It is all a big con...As an example the difference between a 2000 model gsx-r and 2010 gsx-r are marginal, infact I preferred the earlier model.

How much did Harley pay to be on this list? No way is Harley the best cruiser of 2018. Indian and Triumph are making far superior cruisers. On another note, lovely to see CCM! I've ridden the Spitefire, amazingly good fun. £10k for a Honda ADV scooter, no wonder nobody has seen any on the road lol

Google User honestly don’t think it’s expensive to upgrade a harley at all just don’t get the parts from the dealer, but just go for a test ride on a fat bob and you’ll see why it’s good

seriously the new soft tail design is a superior design and set up. why are you so afraid to test one. the new fat bob is certainly worthy of the best cruiser. i dont think the current indian lineup has anything on them. The dark horse line is good, i wouldnt mind owning one. but as far as cruisers are concerned the new soft tail line up is generally good, but that fat bob is insane.

I thought best naked should be Ducati diavel 1260s, or Mv Agusta Brutale, or... Z1000 sugomi, those are great bikes.

go with the cheapest one and get a proper and most likely cheaper A sportsbike in a couple years
I'm getting an SV650 for my A2 as it's still a very good bike at 47hp. You can get used for under 1000 if you want a bit of a tatty bike or under 2000 for a well maintained bike. Then once you get your A1 licence unrestricted then have 70hp.

Tamaha tmax is best scooter.second is xmax. Naked best is xrs700.bes adventure ktm 1190
