RIP Archer MacLean, this game literally changed my life. I'm 52, my father gifted me an amiga 500 with this game when I was in high school (I was 16). Countless nights with friends playing this, it was breathtaking at the times (and it still is!), and my interests switched from chemistry to computer science, In which I got a university degree and built my whole life/career on it. Thanks!
It is odd, isn’t it, how a thing like a song can be the “current” (see what I did there) behind one’s entire life? For some it might be a favourite rock song, or perhaps a poem. For my dad it was anything by Hank Williams. For us, the music from a computer game. Hell I’ll still be listening to this when I’m 70, should I be lucky enough to live that long. 😊
Lets fight ! omg i really miss Amiga 500 times when i was a kid about 10 :( No one helped Amiga to get a better position or alternative to PS XBOX PC ...
I love this game! One of the first I got as an amiga owner and will always be one of my favs! But the C64 original IK music will always be the best. It's one of those tracks that I will take to my grave.
lol i loved this game a lot i played it verry verry often when i was a little kid on my dads amiga ooh that song brings back memories :/ i remember my mother didnt really liked those games if only my mother survived :( crap
Sounds good, but a little more love to details. Some parts a pretty good. But the time was to short. IK+ release was 86/87. If Rob do this on Amiga. Brain falls. :D :D Equal. That was the Time.
Dennis Jakobsen yes this ages old upload is emulated. The A1200 Dolbyfied version which is linked in the description is from real hardware. You might not like the post-prosessing in it though
White wins. Red and Blue could do better.
Efe Aydal+ Thanks, repeating that line from the game fills my day with memorable nostalgia. Kudos my friend :)
Ah o Kırmızı ve Mavi... Olmadı gitti o ikisi.
:)
Paow! Paow! Paow! Paow! oooah!
Master miyagi 😂
This never gets old. I can't get over how one track was so massively varied that it could keep you entertained on loop for hours.
After listening to this I'm off out to get the kids to throw stuff at me while I deflect it with the bin lid :D
Bonus round
Bing Bong
R.I.P. Archer Maclean
He passed away? damn :( R.I.P
@@Lemonidas75 agreed i never knew he passed WOW

IMO this is one of the best "oriental"-themed soundtracks ever, regardless of where its from.
@@LarsTragel-zh7ei Came here to post 'Last Ninja' but you beat me to it :)
6:04 magic starts here .. the melody is sooooo catchy ... always loved it ... for more than 30 years now i keep coming back to this melody ...

Cette musique c'est la vie. Le meilleur jeu de combat Amiga + l'une des musiques les plus mythiques du jeu vidéo, hors Amiga. Epic win !!!
One of the best game themes ever imho. Rob Hubbard was and is basically a game music god.
My childhood favorite spot of this tune starts at around 6:00 minutes.
Yeah, that part has always stuck in my mind!
4:30 does it for me. As does 3:25 and 3:59. Hell the whole track is just amazing.

XD
Ans how loud were those BOINGS, right?!
Just recently I loaded up a WinUAE on my Intel NUC in the living room. IK+ was the first game to be loaded. Plays nicely with an Xbox360 controller.
one of the best bass tracks in Amiga music
A lot of Amiga game music seemed to use very little bass.
Kuokka77, thanks for all these remastered versions of chippy goodness, this is ever so awesome.
"Sweaty hands slip off joystick" ;-)

Rob Hubbard is a genius!
My friend and I used to spend hours and hours sparring at this Amiga Golden Oldie. Great nostalgic memories :D

Love it. Miss it.
OMG, imagine to this music a live action training fighting scene! With the 3 students the shrine, master etc?!

All time greatest conga / bongo action.
everyone do tha conga! hooooyah!
Richard Feynman FTW! (enthusiastic amateur player of bongo and conga drums)
I was the champion of my country in this game.
I could play it almost without looking at the screen. automatic
Better than most music now
I played this as a little kid, didn’t have the slightest clue how it controlled. Still loved it.
You really need a Tac-2 for this game!
Awesome now my new ringtone..
This game was epic I still remember the bonus stage with shield and the spiral balls coming at you
Sounds good, but a little more love to details. Some parts a pretty good. But the time was to short. IK+ release was 86/87. If Rob do this on Amiga. Brain falls. :D :D Equal. That was the Time.
Trousers will drop.
heads and brightly coloured balls resembling boiled sweets will be thrown..........
And Red could do better
Pure nostalgia ❤
Das ist der Hammer.
Boing! Always preferred the ST version as it was more responsive
The defining music from my Amiga years... apart from Xenon by the Bitmaps! ;)

Press “T” whilst playing two others :)
game stucks at level 99 and repeats this level. I did it on c64
correct me if I am wrong
there is no International Karate + on C64
You are wrong. IK and IK+ appeared on the C64 before the Amiga.
First generation hacker! xD
WizardNumberNext IK+ certainly did appear on C64.
delays and stuttering, you ran it through a crappy emulator?
Dennis Jakobsen yes this ages old upload is emulated. The A1200 Dolbyfied version which is linked in the description is from real hardware. You might not like the post-prosessing in it though

Too loud and ear-breaking sounds, Amiga all the way. Much pleasant music by legendary Rob Hubbard.
