We received so many compositions for the title tune and this was by far the best one. And this wonderful music was composed by a 16 year old! You can read all the details in my autobiography. :)
I used to swap discs and chat to the guy who composed this, Angus Murray. He was a great musician and you can hear his love of New Order in it. Hope he's doing well and remembers me from the Cryptic days / SAE copy parties :)
its been a while since I subscribed to a channel, but seeing as you have so SO many of my childhood favourite tunes from the amiga I just have to - especially with your dolby headphones versions too!
Not implementing 16-bit audio chips in later production models has killed the AMIGA brand. It's too sad, but I still keeping my boxed A1200 in dark cool closet. What if...
downtown, can you private message me. I was sent the samurai music on a CD with samples... and I did it from scratch like the Last Ninja 2 C64 tunes by Matt Gray for the Amiga using C64 samples. Also besides that, there is a remix of first samurai I did in which you can find on AMP. I had a look at one of your tunes which was featured on sound cloud and it's the same as 4 MAT tune called Lost chords which is featured on a small intro (same samples, same notes, same chords ?!?)
Techno Drome - not sure what happened to my previous reply to you? As detailed I could not PM you as your account doesn't seem to have this option. I wrote this track for the Amiga, it is one of only 2 games I wrote music for (the other was Deathbringer). At the time I was writing music for an Amiga group called "The Hacking Relation". I am not sure where the confusion has arisen. I think I still even have the hand written invoice I sent them for payment! Have a listen to some of the other tunes I have done and you will hear a number of quite specific musical ticks and phrases I used at the time. Everyone saying that the drums were taken from Romeo Knight are correct.
Great tune on both systems, but I think the clarity on Soundblaster is better. The Amiga version, sounds like it uses hissy samples (bit like early mod files). Where the Soundblaster used the on-board fm sounds. Played through a good set of speakers the PC Version was superb. I will say one thing though.....the Amiga got a longer tune :)
how did they make music like this, whoever made this is a genius

Hi Melv, I'm pretty sure it was Angus Murray made this, am I right? Think I even remember what he got paid 😂
How do I get hold of your autobiography?

This, Lotus 2 and Project X were the holy trinity of 16-Bit era game music.
Such a fantastic song. I was just listening to the music of The Second Samurai and it doesn't even come close to this song.
